Search the yellow-marked folders on the desk beside the computer and choose “Search Medical Records.” This is an interaction with records, not a prescription item to find as random loot.
Where to find the medical records
- Deploy to Spaceport and go to the Departure Building.
- Find the Medical Exam Room. Pass through the room with medical equipment and gurneys, then look to your right for a desk and computer.
- Interact with the yellow-marked folders and select “Search Medical Records.” The interaction completes the objective.
A walkthrough places the Departure Building west of the Launch Towers, but the key landmarks are the building and its Medical Exam Room; it does not establish a guaranteed safe route. TheGamer’s walkthrough was published November 13, 2025. The available sources do not identify the game version in which the location was verified, so the layout should not be treated as confirmed for every patch.
Make sure you have the right quest
Prescriptions of the Past is a Lance quest about searching medical records. Medical Merchandise is a separate Lance mission that asks you to search medical containers at multiple locations; it is not completed by searching the folders.
Medical Merchandise container objectives
- Spaceport: Search two medical containers in the Departure Building exam rooms. The quest wiki places the exam room on the first floor, left of the stairs coming up from the ground floor.
- Buried City: Search three medical containers in Buried City Hospital.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Search two medical containers in the medical room in Research & Administration. The wiki places that room on the first floor and identifies its door by a white cross on a green background.

If you are looking for medical loot rather than the records objective, the listed areas for medical containers are:
- Dam Battlegrounds: Testing Annex.
- Buried City: Buried City Hospital and Research.
- Spaceport: Departure Building.
- Blue Gate: Security Wing (Infirmary) and Abandoned Housing Project.
- Stella Montis: Medical Research.
The medical-container reference lists these as general container locations; it does not make the records for Prescriptions of the Past random loot.
