“Cheshire Cat paw prints” refers to two different activities in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The limited-time Cheshire Chaos event prints are no longer running: the event ended May 20, 2025. The paw prints that still matter for progress come from two story quests, Leaving Wonderland and Chaos in the Kitchen. Find the activity you are doing first, then follow the matching steps below.
Which paw prints you are looking for
- Cheshire Chaos event prints appeared on Realm doors and inside Realms during a May 2025 event. Search for them only if your task is labeled Clean Your Room!, Jungle Bungles, or More Than a Mirage, which are the event’s Realm tasks.
- Leaving Wonderland quest prints lead from the Cheshire Cat in the Alice in Wonderland Realm to Dream Castle, and further prints are mentioned in the Plaza.
- Chaos in the Kitchen quest prints are inside Chez Remy’s Restaurant and just outside its doors.
Cheshire Chaos event: what happened and where the prints were
According to the official event announcement dated May 7, 2025, Cheshire Chaos ran from May 7 through May 20, 2025. Pink paw prints appeared on a Realm’s door and inside that Realm. Each active Realm stage produced new prints every 10 minutes, with no more than five present at once. You removed them with the Royal Watering Can, and clearing 20 prints completed that Realm’s task for a reward.
The event moved through three Realms, one after another:

The official announcement said you needed to have unlocked Buzz and Woody, Nala and Simba, and Jasmine and Aladdin to take part in all Realm activities. The Dreamlight Valley Wiki’s event reference notes that event tasks can remain visible under Village duties after the event ends, but the limited-time items they need may no longer be obtainable. If you see one of these tasks now, it cannot be completed by searching for prints.

Leaving Wonderland: following the Cheshire Cat’s trail
Leaving Wonderland is the quest that sends you after the Cheshire Cat’s prints. The Alice in Wonderland Realm, along with the Cheshire Cat content, arrived with the Wonderland Whimsy update, which launched April 23, 2025 according to the official patch notes dated April 21, 2025.
- Go to the Alice in Wonderland Realm and find the Cheshire Cat in his tree.
- Talk to him. He leaves a trail of paw prints.
- Follow the prints back through the Realm door.
- Follow the trail in Dream Castle to continue the quest.
- Later, Alice mentions curious prints in the Plaza. Check the Plaza for them.
Chaos in the Kitchen: prints at Chez Remy
Chaos in the Kitchen starts after you complete Leaving Wonderland. It is a quest objective, not part of the event’s Realm tasks, and it uses prints in a much smaller area.

- Enter Chez Remy’s Restaurant. Pink prints appear inside.
- Clear the prints inside the restaurant.
- Leave through the restaurant doors and clear the three chair stacks just outside. The PC Gamer walkthrough by Kara Phillips, published April 30, 2025, places these stacks no farther than the area just outside the doors.
Common mix-ups
- If you are searching the Toy Story, Lion King, or Aladdin Realm for prints but your quest is Leaving Wonderland or Chaos in the Kitchen, you are looking in the wrong place. Go to the Alice in Wonderland Realm or Chez Remy instead.
- If you are looking for event prints during the Chaos in the Kitchen objective, note that the restaurant prints are part of the quest, not the event.
