Ride through the Great Plains near Beecher’s Hope in West Elizabeth. Check other reported areas
- Broken Tree, in the Great Plains.
- The western part of Tall Trees.
- North of Thieves’ Landing.
These are likely search areas rather than fixed coordinates. If a herd does not include an American Standardbred, leave the area and come back later.
How to recognize and tame it
The horse is black. The Red Dead Wiki reproduces its in-game description as “A black horse. Fast speed.” See the horse’s description.

iRedDead lists the deed at $1,500 and names general stores in Armadillo, MacFarlane’s Ranch, Escalera, Manzanita Post, and Blackwater. That is a guide-reported gameplay price, not a guaranteed price for every game state; honor can affect prices.
