1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo collect the three custom Battle Bus pieces in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, destroy dumpsters in the named points of interest (POIs) and check each one for a piece. The reported areas are Ripped Tides, Battlewood Boulevard, and Sandy Strip, with Paint Palms (spelled “Painted Palms” in some guides) as an additional area. This was a limited scavenger task. A community-maintained Fortnite Wiki page dates the Battle Bus Quests to November 29 through December 9, 2025, so the quest was very likely not live when this article was updated in October 2026. The method below is the one guides reported for that window and still applies if Epic brings the task back.
What the quest asks you to do
The objective, as guides phrased it, is “Destroy dumpsters to find and collect custom Battle Bus pieces.” Destructoid and Prima Games both describe the requirement as three pieces. Prima Games reports that a pickaxe or any weapon can destroy the dumpsters.

Where the dumpsters are
Guides agree on the POIs but differ in how precise they are. Destructoid is the only source that names a specific dumpster in each area. Insider Gaming and Prima Games give broader advice to search the whole POI.
| Area | Reported dumpster location | Source (date) |
|---|---|---|
| Ripped Tides | Dumpster outside a colorful hut near Dummy | Destructoid (November 29, 2025); also listed by Insider Gaming (November 30, 2025) |
| Battlewood Boulevard | Dumpster near a house set away from the main road, close to kegs | Destructoid (November 29, 2025); Prima Games (December 2, 2025) calls the POI dense with dumpsters |
| Sandy Strip | Dumpster beside the purple-head monument | Destructoid (November 29, 2025); also listed by Prima Games |
| Paint Palms / Painted Palms | Not stated; guides list it only as an area with dumpsters | Insider Gaming (November 30, 2025); Prima Games (December 2, 2025) |
The Destructoid landmarks are guide descriptions, not confirmed map markers from Epic. The spelling “Paint Palms” versus “Painted Palms” varies between guides, so match whichever name appears on your in-game map.

Step-by-step collection method
- Choose a POI from the table above. Battlewood Boulevard is the best-reported option for dumpster density, while Ripped Tides and Sandy Strip have the most specific landmark descriptions.
- Go to the landmark named for that area. If you are not sure where it is, walk the buildings and roads around the POI rather than standing on the quest marker.
- Destroy the dumpster with a pickaxe or weapon. Check whether a custom Battle Bus piece appears and collect it.
- If the dumpster is empty or already destroyed, move to another dumpster in the same POI. Insider Gaming reports that more than one piece can be found in a single POI.
- Repeat across the POIs until you have all three pieces.
Troubleshooting
- The quest marker leads to open ground. Insider Gaming reports that the marker can point to the centre of a POI rather than the exact dumpster. Search nearby buildings and roads.
- A dumpster did not give a piece. Guides do not claim that every dumpster drops one. Keep checking other dumpsters in the same area and then try a different POI.
- You cannot find the named landmark. Prima Games and Insider Gaming describe Battlewood Boulevard and Sandy Strip in general terms, so a full sweep of the POI is the fallback.
Rewards and dates
Destructoid reported a reward of 10,000 XP for completing the Destroy Dumpsters objective in 2025. That figure reflects the reward at the time of that guide, not a current guarantee for any future run of the task.
The November 29 to December 9, 2025 window comes from the Fortnite Wiki on Fandom, which is maintained by its community rather than by Epic. Check the in-game Quests tab or Epic’s official Fortnite news before assuming the task is available.

Source notes
This guide draws on Destructoid’s November 29, 2025 piece on Battle Bus piece locations, Insider Gaming’s November 30, 2025 guide to the same pieces, Prima Games’ December 2, 2025 walkthrough, and the Fortnite Wiki’s Battle Bus Quests page. Because the three guides were published within days of each other and none of them quotes Epic, the locations should be treated as reported by the press rather than as official.
