The key sits beneath a manhole cover in Mean Street. The route runs from the Ice Cream Parlor, not toward the projector area. Community completion guides and a dedicated walkthrough agree on this path, though neither is an official quest manual, so treat the directions as player-verified rather than developer-confirmed.
- Reach Mean Street and speak with Casey at the Emporium to activate his quest. Casey is the Emporium shopkeeper, and the listed reward for returning his key is a Power Spark.
- Walk toward the Ice Cream Parlor, which is on the same side of the street as the Emporium. At the parlor, take the left-hand street that leads into an alley. Do not follow the route toward the projectors.
- In that alley, find the manhole cover. Select thinner and use it on the cover. The cover disappears and exposes the key.
- Pick up the key and bring it back to Casey at the Emporium to receive the Power Spark.
Can you grab the key before starting the quest?
Yes, according to the walkthrough. The key can be collected before you formally activate Casey’s quest. If you already have it, you do not need to re-trigger anything: speak with Casey and hand it over. The reward is the same either way.
