Which cows produce milk?
GIANTS Software lists Brown-Swiss and Holstein as milk-producing breeds. Angus and Limousin do not produce milk, so choose a dairy breed before buying animals if milk is your goal. The official cow-care guide explains the breed differences.
Where does the milk appear?
Milk is produced at suitable animal housing, but there is no single pickup coordinate that applies to every map or setup. GIANTS notes that barns can support different products, while a pasture is primarily intended for breeding. Check the details for your selected housing and the animal screen to see what your setup produces and where it can be collected. Map-specific selling points and modded facilities can differ.
How to collect and use the milk
- Choose the breed and housing. Select Brown-Swiss or Holstein and confirm that the housing supports milk production before purchasing animals.
- Check production in-game. Review the housing details and animal screen for your herd’s current production; output and collection arrangements depend on the setup.
- Transport the milk. Use a compatible tank to move it. GIANTS identifies the equipment category but does not recommend a particular model, so check compatibility details in the in-game shop.
- Choose a destination. Sell the milk directly or deliver it to a production chain available on your map.

TMR combines straw, hay, silage, and mineral feed. If your barn does not have a feeding robot, the guide says you need a mixer wagon to prepare it. The English Farming Simulator 25 Basegame Manual also states: “You can optimize the milk production of cattle by feeding them TMR.”

Direct sale is the simpler route. Processing milk into other goods takes extra work and may require ingredients; finished goods may be more valuable, but that is not guaranteed. Compare the production buildings available on your map, required inputs, transport and storage needs, and current in-game output values before deciding. GIANTS’ guide describes both routes but does not give universal prices.
