To get Thermoelectric Cooler parts in Dune: Awakening, search for them in the Deep Desert, starting with the chests inside Ecological Testing Stations on the Shield Wall. If you would rather buy them, check the vendor at Crossroads Tradepost in Hagga Basin, who Game8 identifies as Zoe, then the Exchange Auction House. These are places to look, not guaranteed sources. The sources available for this guide do not establish drop rates, a fastest farming route, current vendor stock, or current prices.
What the Thermoelectric Cooler is used for
The Thermoelectric Cooler is a crafting component. It is used to cool the harvesting tools used in the Deep Desert. The community-maintained Dune: Awakening Community Wiki lists it as an ingredient in 11 recipes, including Cutteray and Buggy Cutteray variants, so it matters most if you are crafting or upgrading those tools (Dune: Awakening Community Wiki, “Thermoelectric Cooler”). The count of 11 is a game-reference figure taken from that page, not a measure of how often players use the part.

The Dune Awakening Components item database lists the part as Tier 5 Common, with a stack size of 500 and a volume of 0.1. Its displayed data is tagged to game version 1.5.3.6 (Dune Awakening Components, “Thermoelectric Cooler”). Inventory values like these can change with game updates, so check them against your own inventory if they matter for planning.
Where to find Thermoelectric Cooler parts
Four routes appear in the sources. Two involve looting in the Deep Desert and two involve buying. The loot routes are the more reliable starting point if you are already exploring, because they fit a trip you would make anyway.

Ecological Testing Station chests on the Shield Wall
The community wiki names the Shield Wall in the Deep Desert as the usual area for this component and points specifically to chests inside Ecological Testing Stations (Dune: Awakening Community Wiki, “Thermoelectric Cooler”). To check this route:
- Travel to the Deep Desert and head to the Shield Wall.
- Locate the Ecological Testing Stations in that area.
- Search the chests inside each station and note whether any Thermoelectric Cooler parts appear.
The sources do not say how many parts a chest holds or how likely a chest is to contain one, so treat each station visit as an uncertain check rather than a known yield.
Deep Desert caves and Imperial Testing Stations
A German-language community reference on component sources lists Deep Desert caves and Imperial Testing Stations as loot locations for this part (Dune Awakening Deutsches Wiki, “Komponenten”). That reference supports the broader idea that the Deep Desert is the place to loot. It does not confirm that any particular cave or Imperial Testing Station will reliably hold the part, so if you visit these locations, search them the same way you would the Ecological Testing Station chests.

The Crossroads Tradepost vendor in Hagga Basin
If you want to buy rather than loot, the community wiki confirms a vendor at Crossroads Tradepost in Hagga Basin and gives a base vendor price of 500 (Dune: Awakening Community Wiki, “Thermoelectric Cooler”). Game8 names that vendor as Zoe and places her beside the Ornithopter Taxi (Game8, “Thermoelectric Cooler Locations and How to Get”). The 500 figure is a reference value. It is not evidence of what you will pay today or whether the vendor has the part in stock, so check the vendor’s inventory in-game before you travel for it.

Game8 mentions the Exchange Auction House as another way to acquire the part (Game8, “Thermoelectric Cooler Locations and How to Get”). Listings, prices, and availability were not verified by that guide, and they change over time. If the Crossroads Tradepost vendor does not have the part, the auction house is the next place to look, but expect to find listings only when other players have posted them.
Looting or buying: how the routes compare
The choice comes down to how much time you want to spend in the Deep Desert versus how much you are willing to pay. The table below sets out what each route rests on.

Neither route can be called faster or cheaper on the evidence available. Looting costs travel time and carries no guaranteed return, while buying depends on stock and prices that these sources did not check.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How current this information is
The sources were not all written at the same time, and none is an official developer publication. Game8’s page was last updated July 6, 2025. The item database ties its displayed data to version 1.5.3.6. Given that the current date is October 2026, the vendor name, vendor location, auction house listing, and any stock or price details may have changed since these sources were written. Confirm each route in your own game before relying on it.
The sources also leave several things unanswered. They do not report drop rates, a recommended farming route, current stock levels, live prices, purchase limits, or vendor restock timing. Any statement that one location will yield a fixed number of parts per visit goes beyond what these sources support.
A practical order to check
- If you are already in the Deep Desert, search the Shield Wall Ecological Testing Station chests first.
- If you are in Hagga Basin and want a direct purchase, check the Crossroads Tradepost vendor, Zoe, next to the Ornithopter Taxi.
- If the vendor has no stock, check the Exchange Auction House.
- Whichever route you use, verify the component’s current availability in-game before committing crafting materials to it.
The Thermoelectric Cooler is useful mainly for the Cutteray tools it feeds into, so if you are not crafting those, the search is probably not worth a dedicated trip.
