Crow feather pieces in Grounded 2 drop from the crows that perch and fly around the map’s busier areas. The most usable clusters, according to Gamer Guides’ location guide, are the Snack Bar, Entrance, Ice Cream Cart, Ceremony, Grass Games, and Picnic regions. Large feathers need a Tier 2 Axe upgrade, and the guide recommends upgrading the Omni-Axe first, so check your tool before you set out.
Crow feather spots by region
Gamer Guides lists specific landmarks in six areas where feathers are relatively easy to find. The table reproduces those landmarks as the guide describes them.

| Region | Landmarks listed by Gamer Guides |
|---|---|
| Snack Bar | Northeastern edge, just south of the lamppost; between the wooden Snack Bar area and BURG.L; on the wooden area; west of the Hatchery Anthill north entrance |
| Entrance | Along the path in the northeast; northwest of the Trash Can; on the Frisbee northwest of the Trash Can; southeast of the Frisbee; near the Schlappz Portable Music Player |
| Ice Cream Cart | Two spots at the far northwest tip of the cart; two at the far southwest edge of the zone |
| Ceremony | Directly west of the Shlapz Amplifier; just south of the podium; slightly west of the Terrarium; along the border with Statue |
| Grass Games | Two spots along the path through the region |
| Picnic | Near the tunnels on the south side of the Picnic Table; along the ground on its west side; on its northwest side; on the paper plate west of the lamppost |
The guide calls these its denser areas, which makes them a practical route. It does not claim the list covers the whole map. It says other zones were too hard for its authors to pin down, so a feather missing from a listed spot is not proof that the region is empty. The guide also gives no map coordinates and does not promise that every listed feather is present at the same time. Treat the landmarks as places to check rather than a guaranteed spawn schedule.
Tool requirements for large feathers
Large feathers require a Tier 2 Axe upgrade to break. Gamer Guides recommends upgrading the Omni-Axe to that tier before attempting them. Small feathers need no such upgrade in the sources reviewed.

MetaForge’s Grounded 2 item database lists two sources for the Crow Feather Piece: Crow Tail Feather and Feather Small. It shows a 100% figure beside each entry. That database is the more recently updated of the two sources, so its item sourcing is the better-supported claim.
Yield figures from a community wiki
A Crow Feather entry on Grounded Wiki distinguishes small and large feathers and gives yields of 2–5 Crow Feather Pieces from small feathers and 4–10 from large ones. The same entry says at least an Insect Axe is needed to harvest them. Those tool and yield figures could not be checked against the wiki page itself, and the indexed summary does not clearly separate game versions. Treat them as tentative, and do not plan around them over the Tier 2 requirement above.
What feather pieces are used for
Feather pieces support both archery and building, which is why players farm them. The uses listed by MetaForge and Gamer Guides are:
Rank #2
- This refurbished product is tested and certified to look and work like new. The refurbishing process includes functionality testing, basic cleaning, inspection, and repackaging. The product ships with all relevant accessories, and may arrive in a generic box
- Feather Arrow: the main archery use. Gamer Guides notes arrows can be fed into elemental or resistance-related ammunition.
- Pointy Rounds: ammunition, also highlighted by Gamer Guides.
- Marksman’s Cap: supports an archery build, according to Gamer Guides.
- Bunk Bed and Simple Bed: feather-based bed recipes.
- Feather roof and awning pieces: feather-themed building parts.
- Tier 2 Omni-Clipper: listed by MetaForge among the resource’s uses.
Neither source states recipe quantities in a form suitable for quoting, and costs can change with updates. Check the current crafting screen for the exact number of feather pieces each recipe needs.
A first trip, step by step
- Upgrade the Omni-Axe to Tier 2 before you leave. Without it, large feathers cannot be broken.
- Start at the Snack Bar, where the guide lists the most spots in one cluster.
- Move to the Entrance, then the Ice Cream Cart. Check both sets of landmarks, including the far northwest and southwest edges of the cart.
- Work through Ceremony, Grass Games, and Picnic in turn.
- Note which landmarks yield feathers on your run. Spawns are not guaranteed, so a dry spot is a reason to move on, not a sign the resource is gone from the map.
Limits of the guide and when it was written
Gamer Guides’ location guide was released on July 29, 2025, and last updated on August 18, 2025. Its author is credited as Craig Robinson. MetaForge’s database says it was updated for the Into the Abyss update on August 12, 2026. Because the Gamer Guides page predates that update, its landmarks may not match the current build. Check them in-game before relying on them.
The guide does not establish which region is best for speed, and it offers no comparative spawn rates. If one spot is consistently better than another, that will only be clear from your own runs.
