The one route Moon Studios documents directly is the Cerim Crucible: progress through it, earn Gloamseed, and feed it to the Seneschal, who can sell you Fallen Embers. Everything else is community-reported or chance-based, and none of it comes with a guaranteed yield.
The documented route for Fallen Embers: the Crucible and the Seneschal
Moon Studios’ official Crucible page is the strongest source on this question. It describes Gloamseed accumulating as you advance through the Crucible, and says the Seneschal will use that Gloamseed to do several things, including selling Fallen Embers and refined resources. The official text reads:

“The more we progress through the Crucible, the more Gloamseed we can feed to the Seneschal – who will do things for us like sell Fallen Embers and refined resources; Exalt our weapons; and unlock new features within the Crucible in the future.”
The page does not name an individual writer; it is attributed to Moon Studios. It also does not state how many Embers a Crucible run produces, what the Seneschal’s stock rotates through, or whether this is faster than other methods. Treat it as the reliable way to get Fallen Embers, not as a rate.

Other places to look for Embers
A community guide published in February 2026 lists several additional sources. Its recommendations are a checklist to work through, not measured results, and they depend on your progression and on the Ember type you need.
Vendor stock
The guide recommends checking Grinnich’s General Goods and the Seneschal, among other vendors. According to the guide, upgrading Grinnich’s shop improves the quality of what it stocks. Vendor inventories can change, so check them each time you return to town rather than assuming yesterday’s stock is still there.

Daily and weekly missions
The same guide points to Captain Randolph’s daily and weekly missions, along with bounties and challenges that offer Embers as rewards. Read the reward listed on the mission before you commit time to it, because the guide does not document reward amounts.
World gathering: fishing, digging, chests, and shiny containers
The guide lists fishing spots, digging spots, chests, and shiny containers as possible Ember sources. These are chance-based. Gathering a few spots while you move through an area is reasonable; planning a session around them expecting a fixed return is not supported by the available evidence.
Rank #3
- Hardcover
Plagued areas
Plagued areas are also listed in the community guide as places to check. The guide does not give a yield for them, so treat them as one more activity to try rather than a confirmed high-value option.
What is known about drop rates
Two sources touch on drop rates, and they should not be combined.

Community percentage tables
The February 2026 community guide gives percentage drop rates for several Ember types and sources. It labels these values as Early Access reference data and warns that rates may change. Use them to compare sources roughly, not as current odds.
The early-game reduction
An official Together update preview from Moon Studios’ forum states that Fallen Ember and Gem drop rates were lowered at the beginning of the game. That confirms a change to early-game drops, but the preview does not publish a complete updated table. If your advice or memory of drop rates predates that preview, it may not match your game.

Best Value
- The UNO game players love features graphics inspired by characters from the beloved movie Wicked!
- Game play matches the classic card game where players match colors and numbers to get rid of all their cards.
- The special 'Defy Gravity' rule lets a player skip other players based on how many green cards they have in their hand.
- Special graphic symbols added to each card help identify the color(s) on that card, allowing players with any form of color blindness to play!
- When down to one card, don't forget to yell, 'UNO!'
Comparing the routes
The routes differ in what they depend on. The table below separates them by access requirement and the kind of evidence behind each one. No route has a documented yield per hour.
| Route | Depends on | Evidence behind it | Documented yield |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crucible, then Seneschal sells Fallen Embers | Progressing through the Cerim Crucible to earn Gloamseed | Moon Studios official Crucible page | Not stated |
| Vendor checks (Grinnich’s General Goods, Seneschal) | Current vendor stock; Grinnich’s shop upgrade | Community guide, February 2026 | Not stated |
| Captain Randolph daily and weekly missions | Mission availability and the listed reward | Community guide, February 2026 | Not stated |
| Bounties and challenges | Availability of Ember-rewarding bounties or challenges | Community guide, February 2026 | Not stated |
| Fishing, digging, chests, shiny containers | Visiting spots; chance-based drops | Community guide, February 2026 | Not stated; drop rates labeled Early Access reference values |
| Plagued areas | Access to plagued areas | Community guide, February 2026 | Not stated |
No controlled comparison of these routes has been published in the sources available, so none can be called the best by time or by yield.
If you are not getting Embers
- Confirm which Ember type you need. Advice about one type or an early-game character does not automatically apply to others or to endgame progress.
- Check whether your game is on a patch that includes the early-game drop reduction. Compare your experience against the official Together update preview rather than older community percentages.
- Recheck vendor stock and mission rewards after a reset or a new day, since both change.
- If you have upgraded Grinnich’s shop, look at its stock again; the community guide says upgrades affect stock quality.
- Keep progressing through the Crucible. It is the only route with an official mechanism behind it, and its Gloamseed builds over time.
How to plan your Ember farming
Start with the Crucible, because it is the documented path. Fill gaps with vendor checks and the daily and weekly missions as you pass through town. Gather fishing spots, dig sites, chests, and shiny containers when you are already in the area, rather than detouring for them. Track what you actually receive for a few sessions and compare it to what you expected. That record will tell you more about your own game than any published percentage.
The guidance above reflects the official Crucible page and a February 2026 community guide, along with an official Together update preview. Patch notes and in-game results can change these details, so check the current version of your game before you plan around any single route.
