Three Pokémon evolve with a Shiny Stone in Pokémon Sword and Shield: Minccino becomes Cinccino, Roselia becomes Roserade, and Togetic becomes Togekiss. In each case you use the stone on the pre-evolved Pokémon to trigger the change. The evolution pairs below come from GameWith’s Sword and Shield evolution chart, last updated August 21, 2022.
The three Shiny Stone evolutions

Each of these evolutions uses the same item, so there is no competing method to choose between. The only decision is which Pokémon you want to evolve.
How to evolve a Pokémon with a Shiny Stone
- Obtain a Shiny Stone and add it to your Bag.
- Open the Bag from the Main Menu and select the Shiny Stone.
- Choose the Pokémon you want to evolve. Use the stone on Minccino, Roselia, or Togetic, not on the evolved form.
- Confirm the use. The evolution starts as soon as the stone is applied.
Using the stone on a Pokémon that does not have a Shiny Stone evolution will have no effect on its evolution.
Where to find a Shiny Stone
GameWith’s stone guide, also updated August 21, 2022, lists one Shiny Stone on a ledge on the eastern side of Route 8. You reach it by climbing a ladder. Treat this as a single, specific pickup.

The same guide also describes random evolution-stone pickups at Lake of Outrage, with Shiny Stones among the possible finds. Because these pickups are random, the Lake is best treated as a repeatable chance rather than a guaranteed source. The guide does not give drop rates, so you should expect to search for a while if you need more than one stone.

What the sources do and do not establish
The GameWith chart and stone guide both list Minccino, Roselia, and Togetic as Shiny Stone evolutions. They do not say whether Togetic can be obtained in the base game or only through expansion content. Confirm Togetic’s availability in your own copy before planning around it. The same applies to any Pokémon’s availability in a particular edition or save file, which the reviewed sources do not address.
The official Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield website confirms the games’ general features, but the page reviewed does not list the Shiny Stone evolutions. For the evolution list itself, rely on the GameWith sources above.

The Shiny Stone in these games is an in-game item. It is not sold separately as a physical product, and the games’ Shiny Stone is not tied to any real-world accessory.
