Stinky is a male cat villager with a jock personality in the Animal Crossing series. His red-and-blue wrestling-style mask is his signature look, and Nintendo lists him as an island resident in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with a birthday of August 17.
Stinky’s character profile
- Species: Cat
- Personality: Jock
- Birthday: August 17
- Catchphrase: “GAAHHH”
- Favorite saying: “If the mask fits, wear it!”
Nintendo’s New Horizons island-resident listing confirms that Stinky is in the game and gives his birthday as August 17. The remaining character-profile details here are reported by Nookipedia.
Why does Stinky wear a mask?
Stinky’s red-and-blue mask, outlined in white, gives him a wrestler-like appearance. Nookipedia describes his fur as brownish-green, with cream-tipped paws, feet, and tail, and says a wrestling belt was added to his New Horizons design. The belt can be seen when his top does not cover it.
What is Stinky like in New Horizons?
His jock personality fits the exercise theme of his character. Nookipedia lists his New Horizons hobby as fitness and reports that he may lift heavy dumbbells. The profile also notes that he wears sporty shades.

In New Horizons, residents can adopt custom catchphrases. If you want Stinky to return to his original catchphrase, Nintendo Support says to speak with Isabelle and use the resident-discussion options to report the way a resident speaks. See Nintendo’s catchphrase instructions for the steps.
