Who was The Boss’s child?
It was Revolver Ocelot—not Naked Snake, the soldier later known as Big Boss. Ocelot’s birth name was Adamska. KONAMI’s official Metal Gear timeline identifies him as The Boss’s son and names The Sorrow as his father.

What happened to the child?
The timeline says The Joy—The Boss’s earlier name—gave birth to Adamska on June 6, 1944, during the Normandy landings. Agents of the Philosophers took him away and raised him. That separation is the loss The Boss describes to Naked Snake before their final battle in Snake Eater.
When is the reveal in Metal Gear Solid 3?
The conversation occurs near the end of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, before Naked Snake kills The Boss. KONAMI’s story summary says The Boss speaks about the pain of having her child taken at birth and identifies that child as Ocelot. The game’s operation takes place in 1964, about twenty years after Adamska’s birth.
