The cause depends on what happens when you try to play: the app may be missing from your store, your device may be incompatible, an update may be failing, or the game may be showing a launch or connection error. Start by matching the symptom to the checks below. There is no single cause established by the question alone.
First, identify where the problem happens
Note the exact message and the point at which it appears. “Can’t find an app” is different from a download failure, a crash after launch, or a server error. That distinction helps separate store and device restrictions from game updates or connection problems.
- The game is missing from the store: Check country availability, device compatibility, and parental controls.
- The game will not install or update: Check the store listing for device and operating-system compatibility, then note any displayed error.
- The game opens but will not load or connect: Look for an official update or maintenance notice before assuming there is an outage.
- The game crashes or shows a blank screen: Record the device, operating system, game version, and error or behavior for support.
If Rise of Kingdoms is missing or unavailable to install
Google Play Help identifies several reasons an app may not appear or install: it may not be offered on Google Play, may not be compatible with the device, may not be supported in the account’s Play country, or may be blocked by parental controls. These are separate checks, and availability can depend on the device and account context. Google Play Help: “Can’t find an app”
- Open the official Rise of Kingdoms listing in Google Play on the device you want to use.
- Check whether the listing says the device is compatible and review any required operating-system version. Google says app developers—not Google Play—determine compatibility.
- Confirm the country associated with your Google Play account and whether the game is available there.
- Review parental-control settings if the listing is hidden or blocked.
The game also has an official iPhone and iPad listing. If you use an Apple device, check the Apple App Store listing for availability and device requirements shown for your account and device.

If an update or maintenance notice appears
Follow the timing in the notice and try again after its stated window. The Apple listing’s update notes have included scheduled maintenance and estimated server downtime, but that does not establish that maintenance is affecting your game right now. Check the latest in-game or store notice for the current event rather than relying on an old update note. Apple App Store: Rise of Kingdoms
If the game will not launch or connect
The available platform information does not identify one general fix for launch failures, loading stalls, or login and server errors. Record exactly what happens and when it began, and check for a current official notice if the message mentions updates or maintenance. Avoid treating an unverified outage as the cause.
