When R6 Credits seem to vanish in Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s official guidance points to three situations to rule out first: a recent purchase that has not yet reached your balance, a purchase whose transaction never completed, or a balance that looks different because you are on another platform or account. A balance that has genuinely dropped with no purchase, transfer or refund behind it is less common, and Ubisoft’s published guidance does not explain every cause of one. Work through the checks below in order, because the right next step depends on which situation you are in.
Match your situation to the right check
Four details decide which official next step applies: how old the purchase is (inside or beyond 24 hours), whether the transaction shows as completed or pending, which store handled the payment, and whether you are signed into the same linked Ubisoft account.
| Your situation | What it usually means | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase made less than 24 hours ago, transaction completed | Normal posting delay. Ubisoft says R6 Credits can take up to 24 hours to be added to the game. | Wait the full window, then recheck the balance. |
| Purchase made recently, transaction pending or incomplete | The payment or order has not finished, so credits cannot be issued yet. | Resolve the order status with the store that processed the payment. |
| Purchase older than 24 hours, transaction completed, credits still missing | Beyond the stated delay window. This case needs Ubisoft to review records. | Contact Ubisoft support with transaction evidence and the store name. |
| Balance differs after switching platforms | The game may be signed into a different Ubisoft account or an unlinked console account. | Confirm the account and linkage before anything else. |
| Refund, chargeback or payment reversal involved | The purchase may have been reversed by the store that processed it. | Contact that store first. Refund rules depend on the store (see below). |
| Balance dropped with no purchase on record | Not explained by Ubisoft’s published guidance. | Review in-game activity and order records, then contact Ubisoft support. |
Verify a recent purchase step by step
- Allow up to 24 hours. Ubisoft’s help article on Renown and R6 Credits in Rainbow Six Siege states: “It can take up to 24 hours for R6 Credits to be added to your game, so please allow some time for the balance to be updated.” Ubisoft attributes this wording to its help article, not to a named person.
- Check the order status in the store that took payment. Look for a completed transaction. Ubisoft’s guidance specifically directs players to review transaction history before assuming credits were lost. If the order shows as pending, failed or incomplete, the credits have not been issued, and the store is the party that can resolve it.
- Recheck after the window closes. Restarting the game or reopening the in-game store is a low-cost check, but Ubisoft’s guidance does not say either action restores missing credits. Treat it as a way to confirm what the game currently shows, not as a fix.
- Escalate with evidence. If the transaction is completed and the credits are still absent after 24 hours, contact Ubisoft support. Send a screenshot of the transaction history and name the store where the purchase was made.
When the balance differs after a platform switch
- Ubisoft says R6 Credits purchased or earned in-game are shareable across platforms when you use the same Ubisoft account or a console account linked to it.
- Check that the game is signed into that same Ubisoft account on the platform where the balance looks wrong.
- Ubisoft’s cross-platform statement covers R6 Credits bought or earned in-game. It does not say that money held in a separate platform wallet moves with your Ubisoft account, so do not assume platform wallet funds carry over.
Refunds and reversals depend on the store
Ubisoft’s Store refund guidance states that in-game currency and purchases made through in-game stores are final under the policy it describes. Purchases through approved third-party retailers follow those retailers’ own policies, and refund requests should go to the retailer. Because regional and platform terms can differ, confirm the rules that apply to your purchase with the store that processed it. A refund on record explains a missing balance only if the credits were reversed, so check the store’s order record before drawing that conclusion.
What Ubisoft’s terms say about withdrawn credits
Ubisoft’s US Terms of Sale state that users have no property interest in service content, including credits. They also say Ubisoft may withdraw credits obtained outside the service or in violation of the terms. This is general contract language. It does not establish that any such action explains a specific player’s balance, and nothing in Ubisoft’s published material says it is the usual cause of an unexplained drop.

Ubisoft has to inspect account and transaction records to diagnose an individual case, and its published guidance does not commit to a fixed response time or a specific outcome. Expect a review rather than an immediate restoration.

Ubisoft’s help material covers delayed posting, transaction completion, cross-platform sharing for same-account play, store refund routing and general withdrawal terms. It does not list every reason a balance can decrease, and it does not say how long support reviews typically take. Those gaps are why the steps above end with a support request rather than a self-fix.
