Sunna is an S-Rank Physical Support Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Her EX Special Attack grants a squad-wide buff, can activate Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, and helps apply Cat’s Gaze, which deals extra damage based on the specialty of the Agent who triggers it. For build decisions, use a guide updated for the patch you play; for banner availability, check the in-game Signal Search or HoYoverse’s latest notice.
What does Sunna do?
HoYoverse introduced Sunna in its Version 2.6 announcement as an S-Rank Physical Support Agent. The official summary describes her as an Agent who provides buffs to the whole squad. Her value is therefore not just her own damage: she supports the team and adds damage through Cat’s Gaze.
HoYoverse says Sunna’s EX Special Attack grants Angelic Chord-ination to all Agents in the squad and can activate Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, which boosts squad ATK. She can also inflict Cat’s Gaze on enemies; the extra damage depends on the specialty of the Agent that triggers the effect. In practice, that makes team composition relevant: consider which of your Agents can make use of her support and trigger Cat’s Gaze effectively.
Those are the mechanics established by HoYoverse’s short official description. For exact triggers, timing, multipliers, and rotation details, check the current in-game skill text or a guide that identifies the patch it covers.
How should you build Sunna?
There is no patch-proof “best build” implied by the official kit summary. Choose equipment and Drive Discs for the role you want her to perform in your team, and weigh recommendations against your roster, investment level, and current game version.

- Start with team synergy: Cat’s Gaze damage is tied to the specialty of the Agent that triggers it, so evaluate the intended lineup rather than treating Sunna as an isolated damage dealer.
- Compare equipment recommendations: Look for a guide that explains its Drive Disc and equipment choices in relation to Sunna’s support role and the team being discussed.
- Check assumptions: Recommendations can depend on investment, team composition, and patch. A ranking for one lineup or investment level is not automatically the right choice for another account.
- Verify the guide’s date: Prydwen’s Sunna profile displayed an update date of September 9, 2026, and labels its build, team, and profile review as patch 2.6. Treat its specifics as patch-labeled guide advice, not as timeless or official character facts. Read Prydwen’s Sunna guide.
Icy Veins also has a Sunna guide covering skills, kit, and Mindscapes, but its listed last-updated date is February 2, 2026. Because that predates Sunna’s February 6 Version 2.6 introduction, use it cautiously for current build decisions. Read the Icy Veins Sunna guide.
When was Sunna released, and can you get her now?
Sunna first appeared in the “Whimsy in Triple Meter” Signal Search during Version 2.6, which began February 6, 2026 and ran through March 24, 2026 (UTC+8). HoYoverse later listed her in a limited Version 3.0 rerun channel from July 8 to July 28, 2026. Both windows have passed as of October 8, 2026; those past notices do not establish whether she is available now. Check the live Signal Search in-game or HoYoverse’s latest channel notice for current availability.
