Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsMIKE-01 in The Division 2 means the game has lost its connection to the game server. Ubisoft’s own definition stops there: the code does not say whether the fault is on Ubisoft’s side or on your end. The right order is to check whether Ubisoft is running maintenance or reporting an outage, and only then work through local connection fixes.
What the MIKE-01 error means
Ubisoft’s support article for the code states plainly: “This error occurs when the connection with the server has been lost.” Ubisoft Help, “Error code MIKE-01 in The Division 2” The message describes a broken link, not a cause. A server outage, scheduled maintenance, an unstable home connection, or a local network problem can all produce the same result, so the first task is to rule out the service side.
Step-by-step: what to check first
- Check Ubisoft’s Network Service Status. Ubisoft’s guidance for MIKE-01 points players to this resource for maintenance notices and outages. Look for any entry that names The Division 2 and is current.
- Open The Division Server Status page. Go to The Division Server Status. The page uses four categories: Operational, Maintenance, Problems, and Outage. If it shows Maintenance, Problems, or Outage, the fault is most likely on Ubisoft’s side and local changes will not help until service returns.
- Compare any notice with the current time. A maintenance notice is only relevant if its window covers the time you are playing. Check the time zone the notice uses before deciding it applies.
- If the status is Operational and no notice applies, follow Ubisoft’s connectivity troubleshooting guide. The MIKE-01 article links to it. Follow the steps Ubisoft publishes there, not third-party fixes that are presented as official.
Current maintenance: the September 24, 2026 notice
The most recent maintenance notice Ubisoft published for The Division 2 covers September 24, 2026. It announced essential maintenance starting at 07:30, with five hours of expected downtime, during which players would be unable to connect. The platforms listed were Amazon Luna, GeForce NOW, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Ubisoft Help, “The Division 2 – Maintenance of online services”
That window has passed. If you are seeing MIKE-01 today, October 8, 2026, the September notice does not explain it. Five hours is the estimate Ubisoft gave for that event only, not a standard maintenance length.

Recent patch notes and what they do and do not tell you
Patch notes and maintenance notices serve different purposes. A patch note lists changes to the game. A maintenance notice gives a server downtime window. Ubisoft’s news listing for The Division 2 shows the following recent items:
- September 23, 2026: “[TUY8S3.1] Red Moon Rising, PvP Updates & Rage Harvest.”
- August 26, 2026: announcement of the Red Horizon season.
- August 13, 2026: Red Horizon PTS patch notes, from the patch-notes-filtered listing.
Ubisoft’s news pages are at The Division 2 news listing and the patch-notes-filtered listing. None of these items is dated October 8, and none of Ubisoft’s published notes ties a patch to MIKE-01 errors. Treat any link between a patch and your disconnect as unconfirmed unless Ubisoft’s own notice says so.

What this article can and cannot confirm
This update could not verify the live state of The Division 2 servers when it was written on October 8, 2026, because the status page did not show a readable, time-stamped current status to check. Use the status page itself as the authority. Ubisoft’s support index records the MIKE-01 article as updated on October 7, 2026, which shows the guidance is current, but an update date does not confirm an outage. Ubisoft Help support index
No published statistics on MIKE-01 frequency or on server reliability were found, so this article does not offer any figure on how often the error occurs.
