After the Phantom Ganon encounter at Hyrule Castle, return to Lookout Landing and speak with Purah to start Find the Fifth Sage. The intended route leads through Kakariko Village’s Ring Ruins and Faron, then across Thunderhead Isles to Dragonhead Island, where you take Mineru’s mask to the Construct Factory in the Depths. You can also discover Mineru early; if you have already found her, reporting that discovery to Purah can resolve the quest.
1. Start the quest at Lookout Landing
Complete the Phantom Ganon encounter at Hyrule Castle, then return to Lookout Landing and speak with Purah. The quest directs you to investigate “ruins from the age of legends.”
2. Investigate the Ring Ruins in Kakariko Village
- Go to Kakariko Village and speak with Paya and Tauro to begin Secret of the Ring Ruins.
- Climb to the accessible floating Ring Ruin and use Ascend to enter it.
- Photograph the stone tablet inside and show the image to Tauro. Its clue points you toward the Zonai Ruins in Faron.
3. Follow the Faron clue and clear the storm
At the Zonai Ruins in Faron, read the mural and follow its instructions. It says: “Wear the electric garb hidden at the long-necked dragons along the wide-mouthed forest serpent. Offer a Zonai charge to the altar at the tail.” This is an in-game inscription reproduced by Nintendo Life, not a quotation from a named real-world speaker.
Find the Charged armor pieces and offer a Zonai Charge at the altar as directed. Completing this sequence clears the storm around Thunderhead Isles and opens the intended route to Dragonhead Island.

4. Reach Dragonhead Island and take Mineru’s mask to the Depths
Make your way through Thunderhead Isles to Dragonhead Island. The door on the island requires ten hearts. Open it, take Mineru’s mask, and follow the light it emits.
Use Ultrahand to carry or transport the mask to the entrance of Tobio’s Hollow Chasm. Take it through the chasm into the Depths and deliver it to the Construct Factory. There, Mineru identifies herself as the Sage of Spirit.

5. Assemble Mineru’s Construct
During Guidance from Ages Past, retrieve four Construct parts from the nearby depots and bring them back to the Construct Factory:
- Right leg
- Right arm
- Left leg
- Left arm
This route covers the required parts and sequence, not the individual depot puzzle solutions or the Spirit Temple fight.

6. Report to Purah
After completing Guidance from Ages Past, return to Purah at Lookout Landing and tell her about meeting Mineru. This closes Find the Fifth Sage.

Yes. The route through the Ring Ruins and the Faron altar is the intended story-guided progression, but it is not the only technically possible order. If you discover Mineru before the Hyrule Castle scene or before the quest prompt catches up, reporting your discovery to Purah afterward can resolve Find the Fifth Sage.
