Check the Tablet List in your menu: each piece has a short descriptive title that can point you toward its source. Match that label to the checklist below, then revisit the named location—and its past or present version when specified.
Fragments of the same color fit together at a matching stone tablet pedestal to open a new destination. Square Enix describes the fragments as rewards found in towns and dungeons or earned by defeating powerful enemies. The game is listed for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Xbox on PC; Square Enix gives February 5, 2026 as the release date, with the Steam release on February 6.
How to use the Tablet List to find a missing fragment
- Open the menu and check the Tablet List for the missing piece’s descriptive title.
- Compare that title with the location checklist below. It can distinguish fragments of the same color and suggest where to look.
- Revisit the listed town, dungeon or event route. If the entry identifies the past or present, make sure you are in that version of the area.
- When you have the matching-color pieces, place them on the corresponding tablet pedestal at the Shrine of Mysteries.
Fragments do not all come from chests: some are received during story events or from characters, while others are hidden in optional areas or awarded after a powerful enemy is defeated.
Opening Yellow fragments
The opening Yellow sequence begins at the Shrine of Mysteries. Follow these four steps before placing the pieces on the middle Yellow Tablet Pedestal:

- Silver: the well in Estard.
- Gold: Another World, and the Testy Road challenge at the Battle Arena in Buccanham Palace.
- Curious tablet fragment: a glowing creature in the Pool of the Cave at the present-day Roamer Encampment.
These are post-game examples, not a complete item-by-item transcript of every remaining fragment route. The walkthrough listings do not establish an authoritative total, so there is no verified official fragment count to use as a completion target.
