To change your Hero Title in Where Winds Meet, open Menu → Profile → Edit Profile → Hero Title, choose an available title, and confirm. To make a custom title, choose Custom or Create Title from that screen. These menu labels and limits are reported by a secondary guide dated January 15, 2026; they may differ by game version or platform.
How to equip or change an earned title
- Open the main menu and select Profile.
- Select Edit Profile, then open Hero Title.
- Choose an unlocked title and confirm to equip it. To switch titles later, return to this screen and select a different one.
- If a title is marked ready to unlock, select it and unlock it from the screen before equipping it. Titles may be earned through quests, achievements, or progression, according to the NerdsChalk guide.
How to create a custom Hero Title
- From Menu → Profile → Edit Profile → Hero Title, choose Custom or Create Title.
- Enter the title text and confirm.
- Select the custom title and equip it as you would an earned title.
The NerdsChalk guide reports that custom titles cannot contain spaces. Treat that as guide-reported behavior rather than a confirmed rule for every current version: no official, current documentation verifying the restriction was found.
How equipped titles appear
The same guide reports that you can equip up to three titles. When multiple titles are equipped, they rotate above your character name in the order you selected, and they also appear on your profile. It describes titles as cosmetic, with no gameplay effect.
If the Hero Title menu looks different
Menu labels and behavior may vary by version or platform. The available guidance does not establish that this route or the three-title limit is identical on PC, console, and mobile. Check the live profile screen and any current in-game help if the listed options are missing. A Steam Community reply mentioning the avatar and profile-edit route is anecdotal corroboration, not authoritative platform-wide guidance.
