Where to start looking
Bayou Nwa and Lagras
Bayou Nwa is the main region to search. A location guide places all three egret types in the bayou, while a community wiki specifically notes Snowy Egrets in Bayou Nwa and Little Egrets around Lagras. Start at Lagras and check the surrounding waters and marshes. RDR2.org’s exotics guide and the Red Dead Wiki’s egret page provide these location leads.

Other reported spots
- Bayall Edge: A Steam community walkthrough lists this as an egret search location in Bayou Nwa. See the walkthrough.
- Road northeast of Lagras Lake: The same community walkthrough names this as another place to check.
- Water southeast of Caliga Hall: An animal-location guide lists this as a possible spot for Little Egrets and suggests Predator Bait as a hunting aid. The guide covers RDR2 locations generally, not confirmed current Online spawn behavior. See the animal guide.
How to search efficiently
- Begin at Lagras and scan the wetlands and water in Bayou Nwa.
- If you do not find an egret, move on to Bayall Edge or the road northeast of Lagras Lake rather than waiting at one point.
- For a Little Egret, add the water southeast of Caliga Hall to your route.
- Revisit nearby waterside areas if needed; reported locations do not guarantee a bird will be present.
Does time of day or species matter?
RDR2.org’s exotics guide recommends searching around water in the morning, on the west side of the bayou south of the map’s “O” in Lemoyne. That recommendation comes from a story-mode guide, so it is a useful lead rather than verified Red Dead Online spawn data. The Steam walkthrough says Snowy Egrets are more common than Little or Reddish Egrets at its Bayou Nwa location; that is community guidance, not a measured or authoritative spawn rate.
What to expect from these locations
No official Rockstar source confirms exact current Red Dead Online egret spawn points, and the available guides do not establish a fixed schedule or guarantee. Treat the named landmarks as places to check, cover several nearby waterside spots, and try again later if the birds are absent.
