The most dependable way to track them is by cookbook series and volume, then check each entry’s Site of Grace, route, access condition, and crafting unlock. One warning stands out: Forager Brood Cookbook [7] is marked missable and is associated with Moore.
How to use this cookbook checklist
The available community-maintained checklist records cookbook locations and the recipes they unlock, while a separate regional guide groups routes through areas such as Gravesite Plain, Scadu Altus, Shadow Keep, Cerulean Coast, Rauh, Abyssal Woods, and Jagged Peak. Treat the checklist as a useful inventory reference, not an official location guide; the regional guide contains conflicting cookbook numbers and descriptions. For each entry, use the series and volume to identify the collectible, the nearest Site of Grace and route to navigate, any NPC or area-access condition, and the recipe unlock. The examples below show how those details fit together, but they are not a complete item-by-item DLC checklist: the available location sources are not consistent enough to safely reproduce every numbered entry as verified.

Forager Brood cookbooks and missable rewards
Forager Brood Cookbook [1]
- Region and route: Scadu Altus, near Moorth Ruins.
- Access requirement: The checklist describes it as a Sir Moore questline reward.
- Unlock: Spellproof Pickled Liver.
Forager Brood Cookbook [7]
- Access and missability: The checklist marks this Moore reward missable and connects it to earlier Forager Brood collection and helping the creatures where required. It does not establish a complete, reliable sequence of conditions, so do not assume a specific irreversible choice is safe without checking your current quest state.
- Unlock: Spirit Raisin and Charming Branch.
If you are pursuing the Forager Brood series, prioritize interacting with the creatures and resolving Moore’s related encounters as they arise instead of leaving every reward until after the main story. There are seven Forager Brood cookbooks according to the checklist, but only the two entries above are detailed here.

How many cookbooks are in the expansion?
The cited checklist tracks 104 cookbooks across Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree together; that is not a DLC-only total. The available sources do not establish a reliable number for cookbooks added by the expansion alone, so the combined count should not be used as the Shadow of the Erdtree collectible count. The expansion requires the Elden Ring base game. Bandai Namco’s official Shadow of the Erdtree product page describes an edition that bundles the base game and expansion; what is included and available depends on platform and region. The 2024 official editions announcement describes package editions for specified platforms and regions, including DLC codes in some packages.
