They are listed below with the position and nearby threats that Gamexplore’s January 31, 2026 guide gives for each one. The TH.GL Outposts index, last updated September 29, 2026, counts 21 known Outposts across Brookhollow Park and The Abyss. Its readable text does not name all 21, so the Abyss locations are not confirmed here.
Grounded 2 is still in Early Access on Xbox, Steam and PlayStation, according to the official Grounded 2 site (accessed October 8, 2026). Locations can change between updates, so check the in-game map if a landmark looks different.
How many Ranger Outposts exist right now
As of October 2026, the most complete published count is the TH.GL Outposts index, which lists 21 known Outposts across two maps: Brookhollow Park and The Abyss. That figure comes from the map publisher, not from an in-game statistic, and it may rise as players find more.
The Brookhollow Park side is the part you can document by name right now. Gamexplore’s guide, dated January 31, 2026, names 13 Ranger Stations in that area, from Snackbar through Pumpkin Patch. PCGamesN’s guide from August 1, 2025 independently names eight of them (Snackbar, Ceremony, Trash Bags, Fire Pit, Flower Bed, Statue, Rose Garden and Ice Cream Cart), so it is useful for corroboration and landmark detail. It predates the later entries and does not give a current total.
#1 Best Overall
The guides use “Ranger Station” and “Outpost” for the same kind of site, so you will see both terms when you search.
How to find an undiscovered outpost
Finding a new station relies on two cues that the guides describe.
Rank #2
- Watch the lab radar. PCGamesN reports that an undiscovered station makes your lab radar ping when you are within range, and the pinging gets stronger as you get closer (PCGamesN, August 1, 2025).
- Look for the tall landmark. Outposts sit near the base of a prominent post. PCGamesN calls it a large red sprinkler visible from high ground. Gamexplore calls it a copper water pump and says one stands near each outpost. The labels differ, so compare the shape with what you see in-game rather than relying on either description alone.
- Search around the base. Check the ground at the foot of the landmark and the cover nearby. The Flower Bed station, for example, is reached through a passage beneath the statue base rather than from the open ground.
The 13 Brookhollow Park Ranger Stations
The table follows the order in Gamexplore’s guide. The approach and enemy notes are exactly what that guide reports, and a blank cell means the guide gave no detail for that field.
| # | Outpost | Where it is | Approach and nearby enemies (as reported) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Snackbar | Reached through early story progress; in a relatively sheltered area | Not stated |
| 2 | Trash Bags | Just beyond Snackbar’s northern edge, near the hedge where lingonberries grow | O.R.C. enemies can guard it |
| 3 | Pine Hill | West of the Picnic Table’s northwestern corner, near mushrooms and dangling roots | An O.R.C. Orb Weaver is nearby |
| 4 | Fire Pit | West of the Yoked Girth Magazine point of interest, on the far side of a large rock | An O.R.C. roach and other threats |
| 5 | Ice Cream Cart | Outside the cart’s frosty domain, near a berry patch | Comparatively calm area |
| 6 | Ceremony | East of the Headless BURG.L statue point of interest, under rock cover | O.R.C. Orb Weavers patrol the area |
| 7 | Statue | Farther east in the Ceremony region, on a ridge above a small swamp | Orb Weavers and an O.R.C. mosquito |
| 8 | Flower Bed | Through a hidden passage beneath the statue base; the outpost is in the Flower Bed stonework | Its back door exits into the Grass Games region |
| 9 | Rose Garden | Approached through a southern hedge entrance | Bring a torch; an O.R.C. bee and a mantis nymph are near the outpost |
| 10 | Park Bench | Beneath the park bench in the Grass Games extension | An O.R.C. stinkbug guards the entrance |
| 11 | Veggie Garden | Around the center of the Veggie Garden, west of the chard patch and east of the Hammer point of interest | An O.R.C. rust beetle is nearby |
| 12 | Greenhouse | Near the greenhouse’s eastern side, north of the fertilizer sacks | An aggressive O.R.C. potato beetle is outside |
| 13 | Pumpkin Patch | East of the raised bed and northeast of a large pumpkin cluster | An O.R.C. mantis nymph may guard the entrance |
Ceremony, Statue and Flower Bed
These three sit in the same eastern stretch of the map. Ceremony and Statue are both guarded by Orb Weavers, and the Statue site overlooks a swamp, so approach from high ground if you can. Flower Bed is the hidden one: the passage under the statue base leads into the outpost, and its back door opens into the Grass Games region, which means you can leave that way.

Grass Games: Rose Garden, Park Bench, Veggie Garden, Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch
Rose Garden is the entry most likely to need preparation, because the guide recommends a torch for the southern hedge approach. Park Bench sits under a bench and is guarded at the entrance by a stinkbug. Veggie Garden, Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch each have a named O.R.C. enemy close by, so expect a fight near the entrance rather than a quiet approach.
What an outpost gives you
The Grounded Wiki’s Ranger Outposts page, as seen through its search summary, describes outposts as the Grounded 2 equivalent of Field Stations. According to that summary, every outpost has a Resource Analyzer and a Ranger Station, which give access to the Science Shop, Omni-Tool upgrades and Ranger Challenges. The same summary says some outposts add facilities such as fast travel, a Glitter Bar or a Forbidden Workbench. The full wiki page could not be opened for this article, so treat these as the wiki’s summary rather than a confirmed list.

PCGamesN describes the same core set of facilities: analyzers, research stations, supplies and sleep areas, with crafting at some sites. Because the features vary, check each outpost’s menu after you find it rather than assuming it has the full set.

The TH.GL index’s 21 includes outposts in The Abyss, but the names and routes for that map are not listed in the text available to this article. The Grounded Wiki’s search results do name at least one Abyss site, “Abyss Outpost #2”, and its Sites & Wonders page lists named locations, but those pages could not be checked in full. Until a full, dated Abyss list is available, use the in-game map or the tracker in-game to confirm each Abyss outpost and its route.
