For Apollo’s A First Foothold quest, visit four sites on The Blue Gate: the observation deck at Ridgeline, a comms terminal near Olive Grove, a Raider structure at Trapper’s Glade, and a church roof north of Data Vault. Complete the specific interaction at each site. You can finish the objectives across multiple raids; you do not need to extract for objective progress.
Before you start
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists Apollo as the quest giver and unlocking The Blue Gate as a requirement. The four objectives are spread across the map, so you can complete them in separate expeditions rather than making one long run. GameSpot and GamesRadar+ report that extraction is not required for objective progress; after extracting, return to Speranza to turn in the quest. Where to find each location
1. Ridgeline: stabilize the observation deck
Head to Ridgeline on the eastern side of Blue Gate and look along the outer edge for a metal observation platform. GameSpot describes it as far from the central action, while PC Gamer places the platform around the center of Ridgeline. At the deck, interact with either of the two floor points; PC Gamer says either one completes the objective. A patrolling ARC robot can make the approach dangerous. PC Gamer’s walkthrough includes the interaction details.
2. Olive Grove: enable the comms terminal
Search the Olive Grove area in southern Blue Gate for a small metal platform with a yellow computer. GameSpot places the terminal on a platform in the western part of the Olive Grove point of interest; PC Gamer describes it as just southeast of Olive Grove, beside the road. The descriptions differ slightly, so use the landmark and look around the area rather than relying on one exact map position. Interact with the computer to enable the terminal. Olive Grove is a popular farming area, so other players may be nearby.

3. Trapper’s Glade: nail down the roof plates
At Trapper’s Glade in the western forest, find the unfinished Raider structure. GameSpot locates it just below the word “Trapper’s” on the map; PC Gamer places it beneath the “S” in the location label. Climb the box on the structure’s east side to reach the roof, then interact with the metal plates. Bombardier and other ARC patrol the area, so check for threats before committing to the climb.
4. Church north of Data Vault: rotate the satellite dish
Find the small ruined church northwest of Data Vault, in northern Blue Gate. Use the boxes and scaffolding at the front or along the church’s sides to climb onto the roof. Interact with the satellite dish to complete the objective.

Because the sites are spread across Blue Gate and progress carries across expeditions, start with whichever objective is closest to your spawn. Then reassess the route against the live raid: threats and player activity vary, and no route is guaranteed to be safe. Ridgeline may have a patrolling ARC robot, Olive Grove can attract players farming olives, and Trapper’s Glade has Bombardier and other ARC patrols.
The listed quest reward is three Shrapnel Grenades, three Snap Blast Grenades, and three Heavy Fuze Grenades, according to PC Gamer and the ARC Raiders Wiki. The wiki also lists two Noisemakers as granted items. The wiki is a community-maintained source; its entry was last modified July 11, 2026. Guides reflect the game state when they were published, so check the on-screen objectives if an update changes an interaction.
