The most detailed location guide available covers 13 full clothing sets. It does not map every individual clothing piece, hat, or accessory, so this article separates the sets with confirmed routes from the parts of the wardrobe that are not documented here.
Unlocking the clothing changing room
Majima’s outfit customization is not available from the start. Gamer Guides, whose “All Clothing Sets in Pirate Yakuza” guide was released on 2025-02-17 and last updated on 2025-03-13, places the unlock after the story reaches Hawaii and the upstairs room at the Revolve bar becomes accessible.
- Progress the story until you reach Hawaii.
- Gain access to the upstairs room at the Revolve bar.
- Open the changing room and start customizing Majima.
- While customizing, press R2 (PlayStation) or RT (Xbox) to open the clothing sets list.
Choosing a full set is not the same as building an outfit piece by piece. A set applies its look as a package, so you should not expect to keep every individual slot choice from your previous outfit while wearing it.
Full clothing set locations
The table below lists the 13 full sets with routes described in the Gamer Guides guide. Where the guide gives only a district and a general pointer, the entry says so rather than inventing a precise position.
#1 Best Overall
- PIRATE YAKUZA ADVENTURE AHOY - Goro Majima, a notorious ex-yakuza suddenly finds himself shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific. Unable to remember even his own name, he sets sail in search of clues to his lost memories, accompanied by a boy named Noah who saved his life.
- GET YOUR SHIP TOGETHER - Assemble a one-of-a-kind crew while upgrading your ship as you explore the open sea and forge your legend in the cannon fire of foes, unexpected friendships, and immense riches made along the way.
- KICK ARRSS WITH CREATIVE COMBAT - Dynamically switch between the “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog” fighting styles to mix-up attacks and deliver explosive combos, juggles, and aerial takedowns that reward your creativity with over-the-top action.
| Clothing set | How to get it | Location or requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Sea Dog Style | Default costume for Sea Dog | No separate unlock route listed in the guide |
| The Noble Corsair | Container | East Waikiki, by the entrance of the Spring Hotel, south and a little east of the Makani Ave taxi spot |
| Tattered Sea Dog | Container | Chinatown. From Mikasa’s Coconut Juice Stand, go south up the stairs and look west along the walkway |
| Overalls | Purchase | Buy from Clean-Clean Household Supplies for $1,000 |
| Pyrodancer | Container | Downtown, near the entrance to Palekana Orphanage, north of Anaconda Shopping Center |
| Desperado | Container | District Five, near the dumpsters on the western side of the small area by the Diamond Head bar |
| Bodysuit | Container | On the lifeguard tower at Aloha Beach. From the Aloha Beachfront taxi, go southwest to Aloha Seaside restaurant, then south to the tower |
| Death Metal | Container | On a roof in the Cultural District near Bullet Hell. Requires the Chain Hook |
| Armor | Container | In an alley just west of the Shrine in Little Japan |
| Yukata | Fortune Exchange | Kamulop’s Fortune Exchange, for 12 points |
| Fisherman | Darts | Beat Saejima at darts. The guide does not state a required game mode |
| Goromi | Container | Cultural District, by the LiberTea shop and Night St taxi stop, beneath the seating area. The guide notes this set is needed to recruit all pets |
| Idol | Container | Little Japan, in the upstairs room reached by going outside Revolve, following its north side, and climbing the eastern stairs |
| Zombie | Reward | Completing the Madlantis Photo Rally |
The guide’s top-level list labels several outfits simply as “Container” and gives only a district name for some. The directions above are the fully described routes; for any container without them, the guide does not establish an exact spot.
Unlock timing and gating
Most sets become available once you can reach their location, but the guide does not provide a complete chapter-by-chapter checklist for all 13. Three points matter when planning a route:
Rank #2
- This is Korean Version released in Korea. (The publisher did not release a physical version in the North America.) Region free title so you can play it on your System.
- Language: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian
- Included the "A5 size PET PANEL," which was the preorder bonus for the previous title "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name" Korean edition, as a bonus with your purchase.
- A new legend begins as you step into the steel toe boots of Goro Majima, a man who has lost his memory and reinvents himself as a pirate on the open sea.
- Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.
- Death Metal requires the Chain Hook. The guide states this ability becomes available later in Chapter 2, so do not plan the Bullet Hell rooftop trip before you have it.
- Some sets depend on activities rather than story progress. Fisherman requires beating Saejima at darts, Yukata requires 12 Fortune Exchange points, and Zombie is a reward for the Madlantis Photo Rally.
- Some sets depend on money. Overalls costs $1,000 at Clean-Clean Household Supplies.
When hunting containers, it helps to work district by district using the landmarks above. The Spring Hotel and Makani Ave taxi spot, Mikasa’s stand, Palekana Orphanage, the Diamond Head bar, the Aloha Beach lifeguard tower, the Shrine alley, the LiberTea seating area, and the stairs outside Revolve each anchor one route.
What the set list does not cover
The phrase “all clothing items” can refer to more than full sets. The wardrobe also includes individual clothing pieces and slots, and the guide’s route list does not include item-by-item locations for them. Do not assume that a missing entry means a piece is unavailable or that it is found the same way as a set.

GameFAQs’ outfit guide confirms that the game uses multiple clothing slots and that clothing with several styles only needs to be purchased once. It also distinguishes outfits for Mad Dog Style and Sea Dog Style. That guide does not provide a complete acquisition table for individual pieces, and its exact publication date was not available.
For individual pieces, the in-game Outfit menu is the most reliable place to check what you have. A PowerPyx search result indicates that locked items show where they are obtained, but the full page was not available for this guide, so confirm the exact behavior in your own game before relying on it.

Outfit DLC
SEGA’s official announcement for the title, dated 2025-02-21, presents additional outfits as paid DLC separate from the base game. Its official DLC page describes them this way: “Give Majima more outfits to wear, including a T-shirt exclusively designed for this title and the iconic get-ups sported by yakuza legends such as Kazuma Kiryu and Taiga Saejima.” Current regional availability, edition contents, and prices were not established for this guide, so check the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or Steam listing for your platform before buying.
The sets in the table above are part of the base game’s clothing and are not described as DLC by the guide.
