The highest Metascore among the MMA games verified here belongs to UFC Undisputed 3: 85 from 60 critic reviews on Metacritic. The available score evidence supports six games, not a defensible top ten, so this guide compares those six without inventing four more entries or implying a complete ranking. Scores and review counts were checked against Metacritic pages in 2026 and can change.
How this Metacritic comparison works
Metascore is Metacritic’s aggregate of professional critic reviews; it is not a user score, sales figure, or measure of how many people play a game. The scores below are the figures shown on the cited game pages. One important distinction: UFC Undisputed 2010’s cited score is specifically for its Xbox 360 page. The evidence does not establish a uniform all-platform score for every entry, so the figures should not be treated as a perfectly like-for-like platform comparison.

“MMA” here includes licensed UFC games and EA Sports MMA, which represents a different promotion. A broad Metacritic combat-sports category is not a substitute for an MMA-only list: it also includes boxing games, so its overall ordering cannot establish the best MMA titles.

Which MMA game has the highest Metacritic score?
Among these six verified examples, UFC Undisputed 3 leads with an 85 Metascore from 60 critic reviews. That makes it the highest-scoring game in this comparison, not a proven winner across every MMA video game ever released: four more individual game pages and a consistent platform basis would be needed to substantiate a complete top ten.

- Pit your skills against massive opponents in a ring or a hexagonal or circular cage

- Bring everyone's favorite large-and-in-charge personality into the cage when you unlock the best referee in the business, Big John McCarthy
What is the best UFC game?
If “best” means the highest critic aggregate among the verified UFC titles in this comparison, it is UFC Undisputed 3. That answer is deliberately narrower than a personal recommendation. The scores do not determine which game has the controls, career mode, roster, or platform access a particular player prefers, and the available evidence does not provide a consistent feature-by-feature comparison for all six games.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why this is not a complete top ten
A title promising “10 Best” needs ten individually verified MMA game pages and an explicit scoring rule—for example, a named platform’s Metascore for every game, or a consistently defined all-platform basis. The evidence here verifies six score examples and does not establish the remaining four or a complete order. Metacritic’s wider combat-sports category includes non-MMA games such as boxing releases, so taking ten entries from that category would not solve the gap.
