Walmart’s $50 Nintendo eShop card for $40 offer is unconfirmed for the week of October 8, 2026. Walmart’s surfaced listings showed both physical and digital $50 cards at their $50 face value; the physical listing also showed out of stock. Check the live listing and offer terms before buying.

Is the $40 Walmart offer active this week?

There is no official Walmart promotion page or offer terms in the available results confirming a $50 card for $40 this week. That does not rule out a local or unindexed promotion, but the claim should not be treated as a current deal without a live listing that shows the discounted price and its conditions.

Walmart’s physical $50 Nintendo eShop card listing showed a $50 price and out-of-stock status in the surfaced view. Its digital $50 eGift Card listing showed a $50 price. Retail prices and stock can change and may vary by location or account.

A March 2026 Reddit discussion mentioned a $50-for-$40 Walmart card, but that historical community post does not establish an October offer: the discussion.

How to check the offer before purchasing

Confirm the final price and terms on the product page or at checkout. A real discount should make clear which card qualifies, where and when the offer applies, and any eligibility or quantity limits.

  • Compare the card denomination with the actual amount charged, including any fees shown at checkout.
  • Check whether the offer is for a physical card or a digital code, and confirm stock or delivery timing.
  • Read the promotion’s dates, geographic scope, eligibility requirements, and purchase limits.
  • Make sure the card works with the region of the Nintendo Account that will redeem it.

What a Nintendo eShop card balance can be used for

Nintendo’s Nintendo eShop Card Terms and Conditions say the balance can be redeemed through a Nintendo Account on Nintendo eShop and other Nintendo shopping services for games and other content. Do not assume that this makes the card universal credit for every Nintendo Store purchase or checkout; check the terms and payment options for the specific service and item.

This card is non-reloadable.” The balance cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded except where required by law.
