Those notes document how the system works and highlight perk changes, but they do not list every weapon’s current perk names, branches, and effects. For the exact live list, check the weapon’s perk tree in the in-game Armoury; treat older patch-note examples as historical unless you confirm them in your current build.
What are all the weapon perks in Space Marine 2?
A reliable answer requires the current perk tree for each weapon. Focus’s official patch notes describe selected changes, not a consolidated catalogue, and the examples below do not establish the complete set of perks—or even that an example remains unchanged in the current build. No verified total count of current weapon perks is established by the official sources cited here.
To inspect a weapon in your game, open the Armoury and select that weapon’s perk tree. Read the available branches and each perk’s effect in the version you are playing. For an external list, look for a database that identifies its build or update date and covers every weapon, branch, and effect; an undated or partial list cannot confirm the live tree.
What do weapon perks do, and where do they fit in progression?
Weapon perks are part of PvE progression. Focus’s launch announcement describes Operations as a mode where players earn Armoury Data and experience, unlock weapon variants, and progress through weapon upgrades and perks. It also states that weapon upgrades and perks are exclusive to PvE for balancing purposes.

- Embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine. Unleash deadly abilities and devastating weaponry to obliterate the relentless Tyranid swarms. Defend the Imperium in spectacular third-person action in solo or co-op modes.
- Purge the relentless Tyranid swarms as legendary Space Marine Titus in a spectacular new campaign. Play solo or with up to 2 friends in 3 player co-op.

Perk choices should be read in context: the weapon variant and its perk branch matter, as do the effect’s intended target and combat situation. A perk that suits one build or encounter is not automatically the best choice for every weapon setup.
Do weapon perks work in PvP?
No. Focus’s launch material says weapon upgrades and perks are exclusive to PvE for balancing. The statement concerns those progression perks; it should not be read as a claim that every weapon or other gameplay system is absent from PvP.

Why do perk names and effects depend on the game version?
Official balance updates have revised perks after launch. The changes below show why a patch-note entry is not necessarily a description of the current tree.
Update 7.0: broad PvE perk rebalance
Update 7.0 described a major PvE weapon-perk rebalance and said a smaller follow-up pass was planned. Among its Heavy Bolt Rifle examples, “Perpetual Precision” was replaced by “Cleaving Fire,” and “Able Precision” was reworked as “Remote Threat.” These are changes recorded for that update, not confirmation that those entries remain the same now.

Patch 7.1: another individual change
Patch 7.1 says that the Plasma Incinerator’s “Perpetual Velocity” was replaced by “Fast Venting.” The example illustrates why the patch version matters when comparing perk names.
Update 9.0: weapon-version choices
Update 9.0 records later PvE firearm and melee balance changes. Game Director Dmitry Grigorenko explained that the pass aimed to make weapon-version choices more meaningful, particularly where some versions were underpicked or did not stand out enough from counterparts. That rationale helps explain why balance notes may adjust a weapon’s version as well as individual perks; it does not provide a current ranking of perk trees.

Patch 15.0: class changes and additional Tactical melee options
Patch 15.0, published October 1, 2026, reworked parts of the Tactical class perk setup. Its notes include making Kraken Penetrator Rounds part of the starting class perk and replacing a skill-tree slot with Armour Reinforcement. The patch also added Tactical access in PvE to the Power Sword, Power Axe, and One-Handed Thunder Hammer, with a primary-weapon trade-off when equipping one of those melee weapons. These are class-perk and weapon-access changes, not a complete listing of weapon perk trees.

Once you have the current tree open, compare options against the build and situation you actually intend to use. Check the effect, the trade-off, the weapon variant and branch, and the intended target or combat scenario. Also keep the mode and game version in view: the official sources establish PvE perk balancing and a history of changes, but they do not support a universal best-perk ranking.
