In RuneScape: Dragonwilds, brew potions at the Brewing Cauldron by combining a herb, a secondary ingredient and the correct vessel. Weak and Lesser potions use a fired Clay Vessel; regular-strength potions use a Glass Vessel. To make a Super potion, add one Wild Anima to a finished potion at the Imbuing Barrel. Healing potions are no longer a current recipe: Jagex removed them in update 0.12.0.
How to unlock and use the Brewing Cauldron
How To Video Game’s September 29, 2026 guide says the Brewing Cauldron unlocks when you first pick up Clay. Its listed construction requirements are 16 Ash Logs, 6 Coarse Thread, 10 Rune Essence and 6 Clay. The guide also reports that nearby linked storage can supply ingredients.
- Pick up Clay to unlock the station, then gather the listed building materials.
- Enter Build mode and place the Brewing Cauldron. Jagex’s crafting help explains that crafting stations are placed through Build mode and used by interacting with them.
- Make the vessel appropriate to the potion tier: fired Clay for Weak and Lesser, or Glass for regular-strength potions.
- Combine the herb, secondary ingredient and vessel at the cauldron. Check the Journal for discovered recipes and their current requirements; Jagex identifies it as the place to review recipe requirements.
The September 2026 guide describes the three-part ingredient pattern but does not provide an exhaustive recipe list. The examples below are the recipes and effects it reports, not a claim that every possible recipe or skill variant is covered.
Focused XP potions
These potions increase XP for the skill matched to the secondary ingredient. The boosts and durations below are reported by How To Video Game in 2026 and have not been independently tested.

What Super potions are and how to make them
A Super potion is made by upgrading a finished potion, rather than brewing its ingredients together from scratch: take the potion to an Imbuing Barrel and add one Wild Anima. The September 2026 guide names Super Antipoison, Super Antifire and Super Focused XP potions. It does not supply the complete secondary ingredients, effects or durations for every Super variant.
Can you still brew Healing Potions?
No. In Jagex’s June 10, 2026 announcement for update 0.12.0, Mod Doom stated, “Healing potions will be removed (stat pots are staying).” Jagex also said, “Your existing potions will still exist but will be disassembled on use, rather than consumed.” The update changed health recovery so food instantly restores HP, removed Wardstones and Wardshield, and made Constitution shrines the way to increase maximum HP. A later guide reports that old Weak, Lesser and regular Healing Potions show as “Expired” and break down into ingredients when used; do not follow older healing-potion recipes as current instructions.

When an ingredient or recipe is missing
Recipes can change with game updates, and the available guide lists examples rather than every potion and every skill-specific ingredient pair. If a recipe is not visible or the listed combination fails, consult the in-game Journal for the discovered requirements in your current build. Jagex’s crafting help covers station placement and crafting interaction; recipe-level details are best confirmed in the Journal.
