Hail to the Rainbow is documented as a Windows PC game on Steam, with a stated release date of November 27, 2025. The Steam store page presents Hail to the Rainbow as a first-person, story-driven adventure with horror and shooter elements. The protagonist is Ignat, a young man surviving in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk setting after catastrophic military events. The listing describes the game as single-player.

The gameplay the store describes breaks into four areas:
- Exploration: moving through the environment and reading electronic records.
- Puzzles: solving technical puzzles.
- Items and inventory: collecting items and upgrading inventory.
- Combat: fighting opponents.
The listing also mentions a photo mode and a soundtrack. These points come from the publisher’s store description. They are not based on a hands-on review or on measured performance.

Platform status: PC is the only documented release
The Steam listing is the only official storefront page the evidence identifies, and it lists a Windows PC version. It does not list a PlayStation 5 version. That absence is not proof that no PS5 version exists, but it means no PS5 release can be confirmed from the sources available here.
Two things are easy to confuse here:
- Controller support on PC. Steam lists full controller support for the game, including PlayStation controllers. This lets a PC player use a DualSense or similar pad on Windows. It says nothing about running the game on a PlayStation console.
- PS5 Pro enhancements. Sony’s PS5 Pro launch announcement, dated November 7, 2024, states: “Features only available on select PS5 games that have been enhanced for PS5 Pro when compared with the PS5. PS5 Pro enhanced features will vary by game.” Enhancements are title-by-title. The announcement does not name Hail to the Rainbow, and no other source found here does either.
PC system requirements
Steam publishes both a minimum and a recommended configuration. These are the store’s stated specifications, not benchmark results, so they indicate what the publisher expects rather than how the game will perform on a given machine.

Because the listing does not state a recommended operating system, DirectX version or storage amount, check those against your own system before buying.
How to check before you buy
- Open the game’s Steam store page and confirm the platform list still shows Windows only.
- Compare your Windows version, processor, memory, graphics card and free storage with the table above.
- Search the PlayStation Store for the title. If it does not appear, no PS5 listing exists at the time of your search.
- Look for a developer or PlayStation announcement that names a PS5 version or a PS5 Pro enhancement. Without one, assume no such version exists.
What is still unknown
No source examined confirms a PS5 port. No source confirms a PS5 Pro enhancement. No independent measurement of frame rate, resolution or loading on any console has been published that this article can cite. Hardware figures from Sony, such as 67% more GPU compute units than the PS5 and up to 45% faster rendering, describe the console in general. They are not measurements for this game.

If a PlayStation version is announced, the first place to look is the developer’s or publisher’s official channels, followed by the PlayStation Store listing. Those will name the platform, the features and the date. Until then, the verified answer is the Steam PC release.
The Steam listing’s gameplay description and system requirements are the only game-specific material available in the sources cited here. Use them as the publisher’s own description of the game, not as independent testing.
