It ran February 19–25, 2026, and centered on Reload: players could join teams of up to eight, with rewards for completing three and eight quests. Earlier editions used different activities, so dates, quests, rewards, and island codes below are labeled by year.

How to Complete Lantern Fest Quests
The 2026 Lantern Fest quests have expired, so they cannot now be completed for their event rewards. For quests that are currently available in Fortnite, Epic’s general instructions are to launch an experience, open Quests from the lobby, review the available objectives, and play to complete them. This does not restore expired Lantern Fest quests or rewards.

How Lantern Fest Changed in Earlier Editions
Lantern Fest has not used one fixed format every year. Epic’s 2025 announcement focused on the Desert vs Sea island, while its 2024 announcement featured Lantern Fest Oasis. These details are historical, not instructions for the expired 2026 edition.
| Edition | Dates or availability | Mode and activities | Rewards or access |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | Quests ran February 19–25, 2026; ended. | Reload with eight-player teams; eight-player teams excluded from Ranked Reload. | “Bring it!” Spray at three quests and “Love the Game” Emoticon at eight quests. The Discover row, shop promotions, and March 3 Cup were also date-specific. |
| 2025 | Announced February 28, 2025; the island was to remain available after the event. | Desert vs Sea, an island where players chose a side and competed for eliminations; included Double HP, Double Damage, Invisibility, and Sandstorm Riddles. | Island code: 7286-4717-1963. Epic also promoted a March 8 Lantern Fest Cup and Radiant Moon Bundle. |
| 2024 | March 10 at 12 PM ET to April 10 at 12 PM ET. | Lantern Fest Oasis by Illusion Creative, with the Arena, Setting the Dining Table, Find the Falcon, and Kashta Parkour challenges. | Island code: 5629-9147-3382. Epic said challenges unlocked over time and Setting the Dining Table rewarded XP; Noorah and Anwar outfits were listed in the Radiant Moon Set. |
Lantern Trials was a separate 2024 promotion, not the Lantern Fest Oasis questline or the 2026 Reload quests. It required signing up on the Lantern Trials site and awarded badges for surviving Storm circles in supported Battle Royale or Zero Build modes. Epic listed the Disco Baller Spray, Moonlit Peace Wrap, and Nightblade Pickaxe at one, six, and eleven badges; the promotion ended April 7, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET.
