Ubisoft has not authenticated the leak described in the original article. Official sources confirm that Siege X launched as an update on June 10, 2025, with new modes and gameplay changes, and that map work has continued in later seasons. The map changes include both visual modernization and targeted structural updates; they are not all full reworks.

What Siege X officially added

Ubisoft’s Year 10 roadmap and Siege X showcase announced Free Access, Dual Front (a new 6v6 mode), modernized maps, destructible environmental objects, advanced rappel navigation, an audio overhaul, and revamped player-protection systems. Siege X went live on June 10, 2025. Ubisoft said existing players kept their content and progression.

Change What Ubisoft confirmed When
Free Access Access to Siege X was made available through a free-access option. Launch, June 10, 2025
Dual Front A new 6v6 mode. Announced for Siege X launch
Gameplay and presentation Destructible environmental objects, advanced rappel navigation, and visual and audio improvements. Siege X launch feature set
Player protection Revamped player-protection systems. Announced for Siege X
Existing accounts Existing players retained their content and progression. Siege X launch

Map modernization versus targeted updates

Ubisoft uses different terms for different kinds of map changes. “Modernized” maps receive visual enhancements such as updated lighting, shadows, and higher-resolution textures. A targeted map update changes how a map plays, for example through changes to walls, windows, hatches, or objective sites. The official roadmap records both kinds of work, so a visual modernization should not be described as a full structural rework.

Type of map change What changes Officially documented example
Visual modernization Lighting, shadows, and textures. Launch maps included Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe.
Targeted structural or site update Gameplay geometry or objectives, such as breachable walls, hatches, and bomb-site locations. Villa’s Year 11 targeted update.

Map updates arrived in batches, not all at launch. Ubisoft’s roadmap, last updated September 23, 2026, lists modernized-map groups across Year 11 seasons: Oregon, Villa, and Coastline; Emerald Plains, Kanal, and Outback; and Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo, and House. It separately lists the targeted Villa update as released. Ubisoft notes that live-game target dates can change.

What the roadmap says about Villa

Villa is a confirmed example of a targeted update rather than just a visual refresh. Ubisoft describes changes to breachable walls, hatches, and bomb-site locations. These are structural or site changes intended to affect how the map plays.

What remains unverified about the leak

The official sources reviewed do not validate the leak or its claims about systemic destruction changes, specific map redesigns for Bank, Consulate, Chalet, or Border, standardized movement and audio behavior, or a phased rollout of leaked features. Treat those claims as unverified rather than as Ubisoft-confirmed plans. Ubisoft’s documented features and roadmap are the reliable basis for describing Siege X and its map changes.
