Listing rules, taxes, purchased-Lucent restrictions, and the market available to you all matter, so check the item and transaction details in-game before committing.
Amazon Games’ official business-model article describes the Auction House as “the hub for the player-driven economy within THRONE AND LIBERTY.” The practical takeaway is that the market is not an unrestricted trade system: what you can buy depends on what eligible items players have listed.
How the Auction House works
- Check that the item is eligible to list or purchase. Eligibility can depend on the item and its history; inspect its in-game trade information.
- Review the current listings and available supply. An item cannot be bought there unless a player has listed it.
- Check the displayed price and tax-adjusted proceeds or cost before confirming. Taxes and listing details can change, so rely on the current interface rather than an old rate or guide.
- Confirm that the Lucent you intend to spend is available for Auction House purchases. Purchased Lucent may be temporarily restricted.
Lucent and other ways to get it
Auction House purchases use Lucent. According to Amazon Games’ official business-model overview, players can obtain Lucent by purchasing it with real money, earning it by selling eligible items, or through specified PvP rewards such as Castle Sieges and Tax Delivery Events. Lucent earned through the Auction House can be used for in-game purchases that accept Lucent, including shop and pass purchases.
| Lucent source or balance | What to know |
|---|---|
| Lucent earned from eligible sales | Can be used for in-game purchases that accept Lucent, as described by Amazon Games. |
| Purchased Lucent | Available immediately for in-game shop purchases, but may be held temporarily before it can be used for Auction House purchases. |
| PvP rewards | Amazon Games identifies Castle Sieges and Tax Delivery Events as specified Lucent reward sources. |
| Sollant | The supplied official sources do not establish it as an Auction House currency. Do not treat it as interchangeable with Lucent. |
What can you list?
Listing eligibility is restricted. Amazon Games’ business-model epilogue says only base-level gear can be listed; gear that has been advanced or upgraded, including gear with unlocked or upgraded traits, is ineligible. It also says gear from instanced content such as Co-op Dungeons and Guild Raids is ineligible. This is the policy described in that official article, not a guarantee that every item follows the same rule after later updates.

Before farming or investing in an item to sell, inspect its current trade eligibility in-game. Do not assume that a drop is marketable because it is valuable, unbound-looking, or useful. The available supply also depends on whether players list the item at all.
Taxes and sale proceeds
Amazon Games’ official overview describes two tax components: a system tax that removes a flat percentage from each transaction, and a castle tax set by the castle-owning guild within a range. A portion of castle tax is distributed through PvP events, including Castle Siege and Tax Delivery.

Why can’t I use Lucent to buy an Auction House item?
Purchased Lucent may be subject to a temporary three-day holding period before it can be used for Auction House purchases, even though it can be used immediately in the in-game shop. This restriction does not necessarily apply to every Lucent balance or every player. The official Throne and Liberty Support article advises contacting support if the restriction continues more than three days after purchase.

Account, server, region, and platform scope
Amazon Games’ business-model epilogue says Lucent is shared across characters on an account and may be earned or spent on any server. Market availability is a separate issue: region and platform arrangements can determine which Auction House you use.
For example, Amazon Games’ February 20, 2026 Region Merge notice described the arrangements planned after the March 12 consolidation: the Americas would have one Auction House for servers outside the PlayStation-only server and a separate PlayStation-only Auction House; Europe Central and Asia Pacific Northeast would each have one Auction House. The notice also said market prices and favorites would reset during the consolidation. These are dated service details, so check your current in-game market grouping rather than assuming they remain unchanged.
