Reports of lag or disconnects do not by themselves confirm a widespread Throne and Liberty outage, and the available evidence does not establish one currently. Check the official server-status page and your platform’s service status before diagnosing your connection; the status page must be checked live because its captured information does not reliably show the state of individual realms.
The game’s support guide identifies symptoms such as rubber-banding, attacks that fail to register, getting stuck or running in place, sudden disconnects, and lag spikes as connectivity problems. If you still have trouble after checking for service issues, use the platform-specific steps below and contact support if the problem persists.
How to tell whether it is a server or connection problem
Throne and Liberty’s official support guide defines lag as “a noticeable delay between the action of players and the reaction of the server in a video game.” That describes what lag feels like; it does not establish its cause. Check official game notices and platform status first, then compare your symptoms with these diagnostic questions:
- Does the official game status page report maintenance or an incident? Check it live; do not assume a particular realm is online, down, or full based on older information.
- Does the problem affect one platform or multiple platforms? Check the service status for the platform you use.
- Does it affect only your device, other people in your household, or many players? This can help narrow down where the problem may lie, but does not prove the cause.
- Does the connection improve after pausing downloads or testing a wired connection? This may help identify local network interference, not fix a server-side incident.
The official Known Issues page was last updated September 24, 2026. It lists particular gameplay and interface issues and a Windows Easy Anti-Cheat error that can prevent login, but does not list a general server outage. That dated list cannot rule out a later incident.

Check current service notices
A notice attributed to the official game team, mirrored by GamesLantern, scheduled maintenance for October 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 KST for a game update. The notice said game and payment services would be unavailable during that four-hour window. This was scheduled maintenance, not evidence that service remained down on October 7.
Separately, an August 12, 2026 official announcement said Western live operations were planned to transition from Amazon Game Studios to FirstSpark Games/NC in Q4 2026. It said regions and realms would remain and that official channels would provide updates. The announcement does not link the planned transition to current lag reports.

- The unique flat cable shape allows for a cleaner and safer installation. You can easily and seamlessly make the cable run along walls, follow edges & corners or even make it completely invisible by sliding it under a carpet.
Steps to troubleshoot connection problems
- Check the official game-status page and the status page for your platform. Steam players should also check the game’s Known Issues page; the support guide directs Xbox and PlayStation players to Xbox status and PSN status, respectively.
- Pause bandwidth-heavy downloads and check whether other devices on your network are streaming or gaming. These activities can reduce available bandwidth or contribute to latency.
- Follow the steps for your platform below. Restart existing modem or router equipment if directed by the support guide; the guide does not recommend replacing equipment.
- If the problem continues, contact Throne and Liberty customer support and describe when and how it occurs.
Steam and PC
- Verify the game files through Steam.
- Restart your modem and router as directed by the official support guide.
- If practical, test a wired connection to help rule out Wi-Fi interference. A wired test may help diagnose a local connection issue; it will not resolve a server-side incident.
Xbox
- Restart the game and power-cycle the console.
- Test the network connection and check Xbox service status.
- Consult the official support guide for its listed account-profile steps if the issue continues.
PlayStation
- Check PSN service status.
- Confirm the saved Wi-Fi network name, password, and security method.
- If the problem continues, contact game support with details about the symptoms and when they occur.
FAQ
Is Throne and Liberty down right now?
The available research does not confirm a current widespread outage. Check the official server-status page live before concluding that a specific realm or the wider service is down.
Does rubber-banding mean the game servers are at fault?
No. The support guide recognizes rubber-banding and other listed symptoms as connectivity issues, but symptoms alone do not identify whether the cause is the game service, platform, or local network.

Check the official game status and your platform’s service status. Steam players can also consult Known Issues; Xbox and PlayStation players should check Xbox status or PSN status, respectively.
Will using Ethernet fix Throne and Liberty lag?
A wired connection is an optional diagnostic for PC players to help rule out Wi-Fi interference. It is not a fix for a server-side incident.
