The date has appeared in separate, year-specific news: VIZ lists a manga chapter released on August 18, 2024, while two reported 2026 activities involved merchandise and a theme park collaboration.
Those references are not evidence of an annual fan event. As of October 7, 2026, the reported theme park collaboration has ended, and the merchandise reservation date has passed; check official sources for current availability or any future announcements.

The confirmed August 18 references
VIZ lists Chapter 266 on August 18, 2024
VIZ Media’s official English-language chapter listing places Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 on August 18, 2024. This is a past manga release date, not evidence of a new 2026 announcement or a recurring August 18 event.
Graniph collaboration reservations opened August 19, 2026
Famitsu reported that Graniph’s Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration included 21 items across clothing and accessories. The report notes an official social post dated August 18, 2026, and says reservations opened August 19. Rank #2
The figure of 21 items is reported by Famitsu; it is not a general statistic about the franchise.
Universal Studios Japan collaboration ended August 18, 2026
Japan Anime News powered by ORICON NEWS reported that Universal Studios Japan’s Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration ran from January 30 through August 18, 2026, and featured a story ride, food, and merchandise. The reported event period is over. Do not treat the attraction or its tickets as currently available based on that report.
Where to check for future news
For a future Jujutsu Kaisen episode, trailer, game update, or event, look for a dated announcement from the relevant official publisher, developer, or event organizer. A date reference in an older article or a social post about merchandise does not confirm a separate game or anime announcement.
Readers interested in the manga can also consult VIZ’s series listings for its available manga editions and complete box set. Edition and retail stock can change, so confirm current details with the seller.
