How to check the locations on the official interactive map
The HoYoLAB Teyvat Interactive Map can show the shrine positions:
- Open the Teyvat Interactive Map.
- Switch the region to Liyue.
- Use the map filter for Shrines of Depths.
- Select an individual shrine pin for its location details.
Use the map as a reference or manual checklist. Its documented synchronization features concern in-game pins; they do not automatically confirm which shrines you have opened. Mark completed shrines yourself or keep a separate checklist. The official map guidance does not establish automatic synchronization of shrine-opening progress.
How many Liyue Shrine of Depths Keys are available?
There are exactly 10 Liyue Shrine of Depths Keys, matching the 10 shrines. Keys are not assigned to specific locations: any unused Liyue key can open any unopened Liyue shrine.
| Source | Keys |
|---|---|
| Adventure Rank Ascension 2 | 3 |
| The Chi of Yore | 1 |
| The Tree Who Stands Alone | 1 |
| Treasure Lost, Treasure Found | 1 |
| Hidden Palace of Guizang Formula — two one-time challenge levels | 2 |
| Domain of Forsaken Ruins | 1 |
| Domain of the Wayward Path | 1 |
| Total | 10 |
The two Guizang keys come from the one-time challenges Voyage to the Sanguine Sky and Travels of the Moonlit Venturer, one key from each.

Some older guides call The Chi of Yore “The Chi of Guyun.” The current English in-game quest name is The Chi of Yore.
How to unlock a Liyue shrine
- Approach the sealed front of an unopened shrine.
- Interact with the shrine.
- Confirm the use of one Liyue Shrine of Depths Key.
The key is consumed when the shrine opens. Regional keys are not interchangeable: Mondstadt, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and other regional keys cannot open a Liyue shrine.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Rewards from each Liyue shrine
Every Liyue Shrine of Depths contains one Luxurious Chest with:
- 40 Primogems
- 90 Adventure EXP
- 10 Geo Sigils
- 5,000 Mora
- A random selection of weapons and artifacts
Opening all 10 Liyue shrines therefore provides 400 Primogems from the shrine chests themselves, in addition to the other listed rewards. Liyue’s reward is 40 Primogems per chest; the commonly quoted 80-Primogem amount applies to regions released from Version 5.0 onward, not Liyue.

Common problems and fixes
The shrine is visible, but it will not open
Check your inventory for a Liyue Shrine of Depths Key. A key from another region will not work.
I have keys, but there is no interaction option
The shrine may already be open. Shrine chests are one-time rewards, and an opened shrine does not consume another key or provide another chest.
The chest did not respawn
That is normal. Shrine chests do not return after opening. Server resets, weekly resets, Adventure Rank increases, and World Level changes do not create a second shrine chest.
My exploration is at 100%, but I am missing a shrine
Regional exploration percentages do not reliably prove that every Shrine of Depths has been opened. Compare your world with all 10 locations and track each shrine manually.
The shrine is not where the directions say it is
Many Liyue shrines are on elevated ledges, beside cliffs, or near water. Directions such as “travel south” describe the approach rather than the exact elevation. At Wuwang Hill, Mt. Aozang, Dunyu Ruins, and Nantianmen, search above and below the teleport destination.
I cannot reach the Guyun Stone Forest shrine
The shrine is on the southernmost island. From Domain of Guyun, use a Cryo character to freeze a route across the water, or approach via the Pearl Galley.
Important location clarifications
The standard Liyue set contains 10 shrines. The Chasm is not an additional location in this 10-shrine list. If a guide claims that Liyue has more than 10 standard Shrines of Depths, or says that Liyue chests award 80 Primogems, it is using outdated or incorrectly generalized information.
