Five Epic Games Store mobile giveaways had claim windows that overlapped August 2025: Pilgrims, 112 Operator, Hidden Folks, Strange Horticulture and Machinarium. The dates ran from July 31 through September 4 because the weekly offers crossed both ends of the month. They were generally offered on Android worldwide and on iPhone and iPad in the European Union; every offer has expired.
Every Epic mobile free game that covered August 2025
These were paid mobile games temporarily offered for zero through the Epic Games Store mobile app—not permanently free-to-play games such as Fortnite. The list below includes offers that began in July or ended in September because part of their claim window fell in August. Historical dates are corroborated by GameSpot’s Epic giveaway roundup and the Epic Games freebies archive.

Pilgrims — July 31 to August 7
Amanita Design’s playful narrative adventure uses cards and interactions to shape a journey. It belongs in an August roundup because most of its week-long claim period fell in August, but the offer began on July 31 and was gone after August 7.
112 Operator — August 7 to August 14
This management simulation puts players in charge of dispatching emergency responders. It was the first August offer whose full claim window sat within the month. The mobile giveaway was a distinct Epic Store offer; it should not be confused with the PC version or its separate store pricing.

Hidden Folks — August 14 to August 21
In this hand-drawn hidden-object game, players search lively scenes for listed characters and objects. Epic’s promotion described 32 areas, more than 300 targets, over 500 interactive reactions and more than 2,000 mouth-made sound effects. Epic’s offer announcement gave the August 14–21 dates and warned that availability could vary by region.
Strange Horticulture — August 21 to August 28
This puzzle and narrative mystery follows a plant-shop owner in the town of Undermere. Identify plants, help customers and uncover the supernatural story behind the town. Epic listed the mobile promotion for August 21–28 in its offer announcement.

Machinarium — August 28 to September 4
Amanita Design’s point-and-click adventure stars a small robot navigating a mechanical world. Its claim period began on August 28 but continued through September 4, so it is included here as an offer that carried into September—not as an August-only promotion.
How the mobile giveaways worked
Epic’s mobile giveaway program launched in January 2025. To claim an offer, a player needed the Epic Games Store mobile app and an Epic account. Epic’s general free-game support guidance says two-factor authentication must be enabled to claim weekly giveaways; offers typically rotate on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time and stay claimable for seven days. Mobile availability and regional access can differ from the general weekly rules.

- Install the Epic Games Store mobile app from Epic’s mobile-store information page.
- Sign in to an Epic Games account and enable two-factor authentication if it is not already enabled.
- Open the mobile store’s Free Games section, choose the weekly giveaway and complete the zero-price claim or checkout before its deadline.
- Check that the title appears in the account library. It could be downloaded then or later, subject to device compatibility and continued app support.
Epic’s weekly free-game support page says a successfully claimed game remains in the player’s library. That is an Epic account entitlement, not a transfer to Google Play, Apple’s App Store, Steam or another launcher. The Epic app is a separate storefront, and claiming through it is different from downloading a game from those other stores.
Android and iPhone or iPad availability
Android
Epic described its mobile store and free-game program as available on Android worldwide. That is the program’s broad scope, not a guarantee that every individual game was available in every country; Epic noted regional variation for Hidden Folks. Installing the Epic app may also require approving an installation outside Google Play, depending on the device and distribution route.
Rank #4
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
iPhone and iPad
For the August 2025 program, Epic’s iOS mobile-store availability was limited to the European Union, not worldwide. EU users followed Apple’s alternative app-market installation process. The program’s launch scope and platform details are set out in Epic’s mobile-store announcement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you still claim the August 2025 games?
No. All five claim windows have ended. The current Epic free-games page reflects current offers rather than serving as a complete archive of past mobile promotions. If you claimed one of these games during its original window, it should remain attached to your Epic account; whether you can download or play it can still depend on app support, device and operating-system compatibility, online services, and regional or developer distribution restrictions.

How these offers differ from Epic’s PC giveaways
Epic’s PC free-game rotation is a separate promotion and may feature different titles or dates. The five games listed here are the mobile offers whose windows overlapped August 2025; they are not a list of that month’s PC giveaways. Likewise, a permanently free-to-play game is not part of this roundup simply because it costs nothing to start.
