Razer’s USB 4 Dock (RC21-0228) is a 14-port dock announced on November 14, 2024, for connecting displays and accessories through one laptop cable. Razer specifies up to 40 Gbps USB 4 bandwidth, support for one display at up to 4K/120 Hz or two at up to 4K/60 Hz each, and laptop charging up to 100 W peak. Those are manufacturer claims; the display modes depend on the host computer and connected displays.
What the Razer USB 4 Dock offers
The dock combines display outputs, wired networking, card readers, audio, and USB ports in a single desktop hub. Its upstream USB 4 connection is rated by Razer at up to 40 Gbps. That is the advertised interface bandwidth, not a guarantee that every attached device will transfer data at that rate.
Razer positioned the dock for gaming and work PCs. A dedicated USB port for 2.4 GHz wireless dongles is intended to reduce interference for gaming peripherals, according to the company; that benefit has not been independently established here. The dock also has its own power button, which Razer says allows connected devices to be charged without a PC connection.

The 14-port figure is Razer’s product count; the power input and included power adapter are not additional data ports.
Can it run two 4K monitors?
Razer advertises either one display at up to 4K resolution and 120 Hz, or two displays at up to 4K and 60 Hz each. These are the dock’s stated maximum configurations, not guaranteed results for every laptop. The computer must support video output over its USB-C connection, and its graphics and display capabilities can limit the resolution or refresh rate. Check the specifications for the exact computer and monitors before buying.

The presence of both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 gives users two different display connections, but the port labels alone do not establish what a particular host can drive. Razer’s launch announcement describes its single-cable setup as a way to connect dual 4K displays; that description is the company’s positioning, not an independent performance test.
Compatibility and laptop charging
Razer’s FAQ says the dock supports Windows and macOS systems with USB 4 or USB 3 over USB Type-C, and broadly names PCs, MacBooks, iPads, and Chromebooks. Those categories do not mean every device in them supports every dock feature. Verify that the specific model has a compatible USB-C protocol and supports video output through that port, especially if external monitors are essential.

The dock includes a 180 W power adapter. Razer lists laptop charging at up to 100 W peak and 96 W sustained. Actual charging also depends on the connected computer and its power requirements; the adapter’s 180 W rating should not be read as the laptop’s charging rate.
