Which PS5 games support QSSR?
Sony named these two games in its October 1, 2026 launch announcement, saying each received a patch that adds QSSR as an additional graphics option. Sony said the patches were available that day.

Sony says it will make QSSR broadly available to PlayStation developers, but that does not mean every PS5 game supports it. The announcement names no other confirmed games, so the list may grow as developers add support. Sony’s announcement is the source for the titles and rollout details.
How do I enable QSSR?
- Make sure you are playing Marvel’s Wolverine or Ghost of Yōtei, the two games Sony named in its announcement.
- Install the latest available update for the game.
- Open the game’s graphics options and select QSSR.
Sony describes QSSR as a per-game graphics option in these titles. Its announcement does not give a PS5 system-settings path or specify exact menu wording beyond the graphics options. If QSSR is missing, first confirm the game is one of the named titles, check that its latest update is installed, and look again in its graphics options. Those checks follow the published setup; Sony does not provide a separate official troubleshooting procedure.

What is QSSR, and is it a PS5 Pro feature?
Quick Spectral Super Resolution is Sony’s AI upscaling technology for PS5. Sony says it grew out of Project Amethyst, its AI graphics collaboration with AMD, and uses a more efficient neural-network architecture with an implementation optimized for PS5 performance.
Sony distinguishes QSSR from PSSR: it describes QSSR for PS5 and PSSR as the higher-end upscaling technology on PS5 Pro. They are related technologies, but the announced QSSR setup is to choose the option in a supported game—not to use a PS5 Pro system setting.

Do I need to change a PS5 setting?
No console-wide QSSR toggle or PS5 Settings path appears in Sony’s announcement. The instructions it provides are to install a supported game’s patch and select QSSR from that game’s graphics options. Do not confuse this with the PS5 Pro’s “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” setting, which applies to PSSR rather than the QSSR option described for these games.

Sony says QSSR improves image detail and stability, but its announcement gives no numerical benchmark, fixed output resolution, or measured frame-rate gain. Mike Fitzgerald, Head of Technology at Insomniac Games, described improved “pixel-level clarity and stability” in Marvel’s Wolverine. Jasmin Patry, Lead Rendering Engineer at Sucker Punch Productions, said QSSR brings out fine detail and temporal stability in Ghost of Yōtei. These are developer comments published by Sony, not independent test results.
