What does Fists of Fury add?
The DLC is intended to make an unarmed combat build viable. Its official Steam description names three additions:
- A new questline: a hermit in the Horns of the South offers it.
- Fist-boosting gear: equipment intended to support fist combat.
- A new weapon type: it allows players to fight with fists while still technically being armed.
The listing does not give the quest’s length, name specific items, or provide damage values. It describes the additions as support for unarmed combat, but does not establish how the build compares in strength with other combat styles.
How does fist combat fit the game?
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a first-person open-world RPG with an Arthurian setting, set 600 years after King Arthur’s fall. Its existing combat options include melee weapons, shields, bows, magic, throwables and mixtures. Fists of Fury adds another build direction to that mix rather than replacing those options.

Valve’s Steam game listing describes the base game as spanning three zones and estimates 50–70 hours of content. That figure is the store’s estimate, not an independently measured playtime.
Is Fists of Fury free, and is it the same as Sanctuary of Sarras?
Steam labels Fists of Fury free. The paid Sanctuary of Sarras is a separate product, described in its Steam listing as the game’s first full-fledged expansion. The publisher’s storefront also lists editions that bundle the base game with that expansion. The expansion is not required by the information in the Fists of Fury listing.

What is known about the new update?
The official Steam announcement archive identifies an October 1 announcement titled “Free DLC Fists of Fury + Patch 1.30” and mentions Xbox Play Anywhere support. The accessible DLC listing confirms the DLC’s date and described features, but does not provide the complete Patch 1.30 notes. As a result, specific claims about fixes, performance changes or additional cross-platform features cannot be confirmed from those details.
For context, an earlier Steam announcement dated 20 July 2026 covers Patch 1.25 and Bonus Content #4. It describes archery and sorcery equipment and playstyles, an Ultra+ graphics preset, and a new romance option. Those are July additions, not details established for Patch 1.30.
