Jin Sakai is one of the mode’s four playable characters, but official sources do not publish his Mon cost, a required number of runs, or a fixed unlock order. Check the in-game character menu for his current cost.
How to unlock Jin Sakai
- Access Most Wanted. The mode is included in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. PlayStation also announced a Complete Edition Upgrade for owners of the base game; check the PlayStation Store for current availability and terms in your region.
- Choose a bounty from the bounty board. Each bounty sends you into enemy waves and miniboss fights, with difficulty increasing as you progress.
- Complete runs to earn Mon. You earn perks during a run. Between runs, Mon can be spent on techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and character unlocks, as described in the PlayStation Blog announcement.
- Use the between-run character options to unlock Jin. Check the displayed price in the game and spend Mon when you have enough.
What is—and isn’t—known about Jin’s unlock
Jin is the fourth playable character in Most Wanted, alongside Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato. Atsu is the default character; the official descriptions say other characters unlock as you complete runs. They do not specify Jin’s exact price, how many runs you must complete, or the order in which characters become available. The developer-authored announcement confirms the Mon-based unlock system, but not those details.
What Jin brings to Most Wanted
Jin uses his katana and all four original Ghost of Tsushima stances. He starts with a Sticky Bomb and hankyu (short bow), and his Ultimate is Dance of Wrath; his Kill Streak is Ghost Stance.
Do you need to beat a bounty first?
Runs are how players earn Mon, and the official descriptions connect character unlocks with completing runs. However, they do not state a specific bounty or run that must be cleared before Jin becomes available. Check the character menu as you progress rather than assuming a particular prerequisite.

Getting access to Most Wanted
Most Wanted is part of Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. In a September 3, 2026 announcement, PlayStation described a Complete Edition Upgrade for owners of the base game at a US price of $14.99, with patch v2.0 scheduled for October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories. Those are dated, regional details, not a guarantee of current local price or availability; confirm the latest terms in your regional PlayStation Store. The announcement’s pre-order offer for Sakai Armor for Atsu ended September 30, 2026, and is unrelated to unlocking Jin.
