OBS में Settings > Video खोलें। Base (Canvas) Resolution को अपनी scene की composition के अनुसार और Output (Scaled) Resolution को stream के इच्छित आकार के अनुसार सेट करें। फिर recorded video को सही अनुपात में fit करें या सोच-समझकर crop करें—उसे खींचकर (stretch करके) canvas भरना चित्र को विकृत कर सकता है। “Regional” वीडियो के विषय या मूल स्थान को बताता है, उसका aspect ratio नहीं; पहले फ़ाइल के वास्तविक dimensions देखें।
Aspect ratio और OBS की दो resolution settings का मतलब
Aspect ratio चौड़ाई और ऊँचाई का अनुपात है। उदाहरण के लिए, 1920×1080 और 1280×720 दोनों 16:9 हैं। OBS में दो अलग controls हैं: Base (Canvas) Resolution वह composition area है जिसमें आप sources को scene में रखते हैं; Output (Scaled) Resolution वह आकार है जो stream या recording को भेजा जाता है। Canvas बदलने पर scene के sources को फिर से align या resize करना पड़ सकता है। OBS Aspect Ratio Guide और OBS का settings overview इन controls के अलग काम समझाते हैं।
Landscape YouTube stream के लिए 16:9 एक व्यावहारिक शुरुआती विकल्प है। OBS 1920×1080 या 1280×720 जैसे 16:9 dimensions सुझाता है। YouTube के अनुसार computer playback पर standard ratio 16:9 है, हालांकि उसका player अन्य आकारों के अनुसार भी ढलता है। YouTube की resolution और aspect-ratio जानकारी
पहले तय करें: पूरा frame दिखाना है या canvas भरना है?
- पूरा video दिखाना है: source को canvas में fit करें। अनुपात सुरक्षित रहेगा, लेकिन खाली जगह बच सकती है। उस जगह पर background, शीर्षक या दूसरी scene सामग्री रख सकते हैं।
- Canvas पूरी तरह भरना है: source को बड़ा करके crop करें, लेकिन तभी जब किनारों का कटना स्वीकार्य हो।
- Stretch न करें: source को अनुपात बदले बिना fit या crop करना बेहतर है; खींचने से चेहरे, वस्तुएँ और दृश्य विकृत दिख सकते हैं।
अक्सर खाली जगह छोड़ने या उसके लिए background design करने से बेहतर परिणाम मिलता है, बजाय इसके कि video में ही black bars जोड़ दिए जाएँ। YouTube का player अलग dimensions के अनुसार ढल सकता है; bars को source में bake करने से बचने की सलाह YouTube के aspect-ratio मार्गदर्शन से मेल खाती है।

Recorded video के लिए OBS में aspect ratio सेट करने के चरण
- फ़ाइल के dimensions जाँचें। Video की properties या media player में width और height देखें। तय करें कि source landscape, portrait या किसी अन्य ratio में है। क्षेत्रीय भाषा, संगीत या footage के विषय से dimensions का अनुमान न लगाएँ।
- OBS में canvas और output चुनें। Settings > Video में जाएँ। Base (Canvas) Resolution को उस composition के मुताबिक रखें जिसमें source और अन्य scene elements व्यवस्थित होंगे। Output (Scaled) Resolution को stream के target के अनुसार चुनें। Landscape stream के लिए 1920×1080 या 1280×720, दोनों 16:9 विकल्प हैं।
- Video source जोड़ें और transform करें। अपनी scene में prerecorded file source जोड़ें या चुना हुआ source select करें। पूरा frame बनाए रखना हो तो source को canvas में fit करें और बची हुई जगह के लिए background या layout तैयार करें।
- Crop केवल आवश्यक हो तो करें। OBS में source के bounding box को खींचते समय Alt दबाकर crop किया जा सकता है। अधिक सटीक crop के लिए source पर right-click करके Edit Transform खोलें। Crop के बाद preview में देखें कि जरूरी text, चेहरे या अन्य अहम सामग्री कट तो नहीं रही।
- Scene और stream का preview जाँचें। Canvas का preview देखें और YouTube Live Control Room में scheduled stream के preview से भी layout जाँचें। Live event से पहले encoder का परीक्षण करें और audio तथा video quality पर नज़र रखें। YouTube की live-stream encoder setup guidance preview जाँचने की सलाह देती है।
9:16 portrait stream या YouTube dual-stream setup
अगर आपका लक्ष्य portrait presentation है, तो canvas को portrait composition के लिए बनाइए और output resolution उसी layout के अनुकूल चुनिए। सिर्फ 9:16 संख्या डालना पर्याप्त नहीं: source को कहाँ रखा जाएगा, पूरा frame दिखेगा या crop होगा, और YouTube पर scheduled stream कौन-सा layout इस्तेमाल करेगा—इन सबका preview करें।

- Landscape और vertical दोनों चाहिए: दोनों previews देखें; center crop में subject सुरक्षित न हो तो दूसरा उपलब्ध layout चुनें या composition समायोजित करें।
- सिर्फ landscape stream चाहिए: 16:9 canvas रखें और portrait source को fit करके खाली जगह को design करें, या स्वीकार्य होने पर crop करें।
आम समस्याएँ और उनके समाधान
Video canvas में छोटा दिखता है या खाली जगह बचती है
संभव है source और canvas के aspect ratios अलग हों। पूरा frame दिखाना है तो उसे fit करके खाली हिस्से को background या अन्य scene elements से भरें। यदि हर किनारा दिखाना जरूरी नहीं है, तभी crop-to-fill करें।
चेहरे या वस्तुएँ खिंची हुई दिखती हैं
Source को stretch किया गया है। Transform को ठीक करें और अनुपात सुरक्षित रखते हुए fit या crop करें; केवल canvas भरने के लिए width और height अलग-अलग न खींचें।

Canvas बदलने के बाद scene की चीजें गलत जगह हैं
Base (Canvas) Resolution composition area बदलता है। Sources की position और size दोबारा जाँचें, फिर preview में पूरा frame देखें। Output resolution बदलना canvas composition बदलने के समान नहीं है।
YouTube vertical version में जरूरी किनारे गायब हैं
Live Control Room में scheduled stream का vertical layout देखें। Default center crop subject या किनारों की सामग्री काट सकता है; जहाँ उपलब्ध हो दूसरा layout चुनें या source की composition को केंद्र के अनुकूल करें।

प्रसारण से पहले अधिकार और test जाँचें
Aspect ratio ठीक होना किसी prerecorded clip को rebroadcast करने की अनुमति नहीं देता। जिन videos को Live पर चलाने का अधिकार आपके पास नहीं है, उनके लिए permission या उपयुक्त licence की स्थिति अलग से जाँचें। कोई खास regional clip केवल भाषा या क्षेत्र के कारण copyright-cleared नहीं हो जाता।
- OBS preview और YouTube Live Control Room preview में framing जाँचें।
- Audio सुनें और सुनिश्चित करें कि stream में सही source चल रहा है।
- Portrait या dual-stream workflow हो तो दोनों layouts और crop की जाँच करें।
- Live जाने से पहले encoder test करें और audio/video quality monitor करें।
