To run prerecorded Odia devotional audio or video as a YouTube Live broadcast from a cloud PC, prepare media you have the rights to stream, run a playlist in an encoder such as OBS, and connect it to a YouTube broadcast with the server URL and stream key. Test the preview and sound before going public. If this is your first YouTube live stream, activation can take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance covers the broadcast connection and archive behavior.
First decide what viewers will see: an audio playlist with a still image or visualizer, or full video. The YouTube connection steps are much the same, but the media you prepare—and the rights you need—differ.
Before setup: choose the format and clear the rights
Audio with a static image or visual
Prepare the audio files and a visual that you are entitled to use. An encoder can combine audio with a still image or other visual to produce a video signal for YouTube Live. Check that the visual remains appropriate throughout the broadcast and that the audio does not clip or cut abruptly between tracks.
Full devotional video
Prepare video files in the order you want them played, and check that the encoder can read them from the cloud PC. A video playlist needs rights for both its sound recording and its visuals, including any later archive. Keep permission or license records accessible.

YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions say: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” A devotional song’s traditional or religious subject does not by itself establish that a particular recording is free to stream. A license for one use or platform should not be assumed to permit continuous YouTube streaming and replay.
Choose the broadcast schedule
- One scheduled broadcast: use this for a finite event with a start time and a planned end.
- Repeated broadcasts: schedule separate sessions if you want a recurring daily or weekly program.
- Continuous feed: plan for monitoring, restarts, and recording outside YouTube’s automatic archive window. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not rely on that guidance for a longer continuous session. Check YouTube’s current live-stream guidance before choosing an archive plan.
A continuous feed has more operational demands than a scheduled session: the cloud PC, its media access, and its outbound connection all need to remain available, and you need a way to recover if the encoder or session stops.

Set up the cloud PC and playlist
- Choose a cloud PC and operating system. Setup steps for power persistence, remote access, and automatic restarts vary by provider and operating system. Confirm that your chosen machine can stay available for the intended runtime and can send an outbound stream to YouTube.
- Install an encoder. OBS is one software option. Its help portal describes connecting a computer to a streaming destination. A software encoder on a cloud PC is sufficient for this workflow; dedicated hardware is not required.
- Transfer the media. Put the rights-cleared files somewhere the encoder can access reliably. Confirm the playlist order, filenames, audio levels, and transitions. If using audio with a still image, configure the encoder scene so that the visual remains on screen while the playlist plays.
- Configure looping and recovery. Set the playlist to repeat if the broadcast should continue after the last item. Decide how you will notice a failed session and restart the encoder; cloud-provider session and restart controls differ.
- Check the output locally in the encoder. Listen for silence, clipping, or gaps and watch for a frozen or missing visual before connecting to YouTube.
Create the YouTube Live broadcast and connect the encoder
- Activate live streaming early. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. If this is the channel’s first live stream, enable the feature in advance; YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s setup instructions may change, so follow the current labels shown in Studio.
- Choose immediate or scheduled setup. Use the Stream tab for an immediate stream, or open Manage → Schedule stream for a planned broadcast. Enter the title, description, audience settings, and visibility appropriate to the channel.
- Copy the connection details. In the YouTube live control room, copy the server URL and stream key into the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, show it in screenshots, or leave it in public configuration files or logs.
- Start the encoder and inspect YouTube’s preview. Wait for YouTube to receive the signal. Check the preview and stream-health indication, then confirm that the audio is audible and the video is correct.
- Go live when ready. For a scheduled broadcast, select Go live in YouTube Studio after the preview is ready. Monitor the broadcast in Studio and verify that the playlist continues through a transition.
Rights, Content ID, and monetization are separate questions
Copyright permission
You are responsible for rights to the live content and any replay. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can replace the live stream with a placeholder, and continuing to stream matched material can cause a temporary interruption or termination. If you have a license for third-party material, YouTube says to ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license alone may not prevent an interruption if your channel is not allowlisted. Monetization eligibility
Permission to use material does not guarantee YouTube Partner Program eligibility. YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams and assess a channel’s originality and authenticity; repeated or minimally transformed compilations can be ineligible even when the uploader has permission. Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies. Do not assume a continuous devotional stream will earn ad revenue or that it can avoid claims.

Keep the stream running and plan for interruptions
- Monitor from YouTube Studio. Check that the stream remains connected and that its audio and video are still correct.
- Plan for encoder or cloud-session failure. Know how to reconnect remotely and restart the playlist. Configure provider-specific persistence or restart controls rather than assuming a disconnected remote session will keep the encoder running.
- Make a separate recording plan. YouTube’s automatic archive guidance is for streams under 12 hours. For longer sessions, use a separate recording and storage plan if you need a complete replay.
- Use HLS only when you understand its requirements. YouTube says HLS has higher latency than RTMP and imposes playlist, segment, muxing, and HTTPS requirements. It is not simply a casual toggle for a beginner playlist broadcast. See YouTube’s encoder settings guidance and its HLS ingestion documentation.

Compare options by whether you already have a cloud PC, how easily the playlist can loop and recover, monitoring needs, archive handling, protocol and latency requirements, and recurring compute or service costs. No particular cloud provider, VM size, region performance, or current compute price is established here; check the provider’s current documentation and pricing for your configuration.
