To loop a luxury home listing video on YouTube Live, use OBS Studio: add the video as a Media Source and enable Loop. To rotate several listings, add them to an OBS VLC Video playlist and enable Loop Playlist. Then connect OBS to an eligible YouTube channel with its stream key, check the preview, and monitor the broadcast. This keeps the footage playing repeatedly, but OBS and YouTube do not promise an unattended, uninterrupted 24/7 stream.
Before you start
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube’s live-streaming guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; its current getting-started guidance also states a minimum age of 16. Check your channel’s status and current requirements in YouTube Studio before planning a broadcast: YouTube’s live-streaming getting-started guidance.
- Prepare footage and audio you have permission to use. Rights should cover the listing video, music, narration, photographs, and other included material for both the live broadcast and any archive. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it if a match is detected. A license does not necessarily prevent interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance and its terms.
- Choose the footage deliberately. Luxury property video can include private interiors, people, artwork, or location details. Make sure the person or business uploading the stream is authorized to show those materials publicly, and avoid exposing sensitive information such as access codes or security arrangements.
Choose the OBS source that matches your videos

The OBS Project describes the Media Source setting this way: “Loop — Specifies whether the file play again once playback has completed.” See the OBS Media Sources documentation. The cited OBS and YouTube guidance does not establish that either source has a reliability, picture-quality, or uptime advantage over the other.
Set up and start the live stream
- Prepare the scene in OBS. Open OBS Studio and select or create a scene for the listing feed. Add a Media Source for a single video, or add a VLC Video source for a playlist. In the source properties, select the video file or playlist and enable the corresponding loop option. For VLC Video, arrange the files in the order you want viewers to see them.
- Check what viewers will see and hear. Use OBS’s preview to confirm the property footage is framed as intended and that narration or music is audible at a suitable level. Check the whole sequence if using a playlist, including the transition between the final and first clips.
- Create or select the broadcast in YouTube Studio. Open YouTube Studio’s live-streaming controls and create a stream or select the one you intend to use. YouTube’s current setup instructions are in Create a live stream with an encoder.
- Connect OBS using the stream key. Copy the stream key from YouTube Studio into OBS’s streaming configuration. YouTube describes stream keys as the encoder’s password and address; keep the key private and do not include it in a public scene, recording, or screen share. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS with the new key. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup steps for the current controls.
- Preview in YouTube Studio before going live. Verify the incoming picture and sound in the encoder preview, then start the broadcast when the preview is correct. Check that the public watch page is available as expected.
- Monitor the broadcast while it runs. Watch for missing video or audio, playback that does not advance, or a playlist that fails to return to its first clip. YouTube recommends checking stream quality and archive files; these are operational checks, not a guarantee of continuous service. Its live-streaming tips explain further checks.
Set expectations for viewers and the archive
YouTube’s DVR feature can let viewers pause and resume a live stream, but rewind may be limited or unavailable for very long broadcasts, including streams longer than 12 hours. Don’t promise viewers they can rewind to the beginning or to a particular listing segment. See YouTube’s DVR guidance.
If the stream is archived, check the resulting video rather than assuming the archive contains every moment or that its playback matches the live experience. Rights for the archive matter as well as rights for the live feed.

Fix common looping and live-stream problems

Eligible creators may have access to live ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships, depending on eligibility and settings.
