To loop a Tamil sleep meditation on YouTube Live, add the finished video to an OBS Studio scene as a Media Source, turn on Loop, and send OBS’s encoder feed to YouTube using the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. OBS keeps repeating the file while your computer, OBS, media file, and internet connection remain available. You can instead have StreamNeo run uploaded videos from the cloud; the options and setup are below.
Prepare the meditation file and check your rights
Finish and review the video before setting up the broadcast. Mix the Tamil narration, music, and visuals into a file you can play locally, then watch and listen through the entire recording—including the point where it will restart. Keep a clean local copy.
- Use audio and visuals you created or have permission to broadcast on YouTube. A licence does not necessarily prevent a Content ID match; the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel for a live stream.
- Check that the narration is intelligible, the audio level is comfortable, and the visuals behave as intended at the loop boundary.
- If you want still visuals while audio continues, use a finished audiovisual file or separately verify the behavior of the video and audio sources in your chosen OBS scene. Do not assume every combination of files and scene settings will transition seamlessly.
OBS Media Source supports common local video and audio formats, but format support alone does not guarantee a gapless loop on every computer, file, or scene configuration.
Make the file repeat in OBS
Loop one video file
- Open OBS Studio and create or select the scene for the meditation.
- In the scene’s Sources area, add a Media Source.
- Select the local video file and enable Loop in the source properties. OBS will play the file again when playback completes.
- Preview the scene and listen through the end-to-start transition. Correct any unwanted silence, abrupt sound change, black frame, or visual jump in the file or scene before broadcasting.
Loop a playlist of clips
- Add a VLC Video source and choose the playlist files.
- Enable Loop Playlist in the source properties.
- If VLC Video is unavailable, install VLC for the same system architecture as OBS, then reopen OBS and check the source list.
Labels and layouts can differ between software versions. Confirm the available source properties in your installed OBS build.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Enable YouTube Live and connect OBS
- Make sure the channel is verified and has no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours.
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a stream in the Live Control Room, then open its stream settings.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key into OBS’s streaming settings. Use RTMPS where available for encrypted delivery.
- Keep the key private. YouTube describes stream keys as “like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- If scheduling, choose the visibility you intend—public, private, or unlisted—and enter an accurate title, description, and relevant language and audience details.
Tags have only a minimal discovery role on YouTube except where a term is commonly misspelled. A clear title and description should identify the meditation honestly rather than promise effects or content the stream does not provide.
Choose encoder settings that your connection can sustain
YouTube’s general encoder guidance supports H.264, constant bitrate (CBR), up to 60 fps, and recommends a 2-second keyframe interval (no more than 4 seconds). For H.264, the recommended bitrate ranges include 5–14 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3–8 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that your internet connection can maintain the stream.

| Setting | Practical choice | Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery | RTMPS | YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted delivery. |
| Video codec and rate control | H.264, CBR | Listed in YouTube’s general encoder guidance. |
| Resolution and frame rate | Match the source and the quality your connection can sustain | For H.264 at 30 fps, YouTube’s recommended ranges are 5–14 Mbps at 1080p and 3–8 Mbps at 720p. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube recommends 2 seconds and says not to exceed 4 seconds. |
| Audio | AAC or MP3; stereo AAC at 128 Kbps is a recommended advanced setting | Check that the encoder’s audio output matches your production. |
Before choosing a bitrate, test upload speed on the same connection the encoder will use. YouTube recommends keeping the total stream bitrate within available upload bandwidth and leaving 20% headroom. Other people or devices using the network can reduce the capacity available to OBS. Ethernet may help avoid some wireless instability, but it cannot compensate for insufficient upload bandwidth.
Test, start, and monitor the stream
- Set up OBS and YouTube Studio in advance rather than making the first configuration during the planned broadcast.
- Start the OBS stream and check that the Live Control Room receives a preview. Verify the picture, Tamil audio, levels, and loop restart.
- Test with representative audio and movement, and check stream health. If the broadcast is scheduled and not configured to start automatically, start it in YouTube Studio when ready.
- If practical, open the live watch page on another device to confirm what viewers receive. Monitor picture and sound while the broadcast runs.
With the local OBS method, the computer, OBS, media file, and network must remain available. If the encoder stops sending, the incoming feed ends. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived when the encoder stops; that guidance does not establish that a stream lasting 12 hours or more will be fully archived. If preserving a long overnight program matters, plan a restart or a separate recording and archive workflow.

Understand copyright and monetization limits
Copyright can interrupt a live broadcast
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including another live broadcast. If it detects a match, it may show a placeholder image and warn you to stop using the content; a continuing match can lead to interruption or termination. A Content ID claim may also appear on an archived live stream after it ends. If you are using licensed material, ask the rights holder whether your channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist for live streaming.
A technical loop does not guarantee monetization
YouTube’s channel monetization policy update dated July 15, 2025 renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” and clarifies that repetitive or mass-produced material can be ineligible. The policy applies to livestreams as well as other videos. Reused-content review is separate from copyright permission: having permission to use music does not by itself establish that a channel or stream meets monetization requirements. Make the meditation meaningfully original and assess it against YouTube’s current policy; a working OBS loop is not a promise of monetization.
