Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo loop Hindi devotional songs on YouTube Live in 4K at 60 fps, use OBS to repeat a rights-cleared local video or playlist, then send its encoded feed to YouTube Live Control Room. A loop setting alone does not start a broadcast: you also need an eligible YouTube channel, a stream URL and key, a capable encoder, and a stable upload connection.
Before you start
- YouTube access: Your channel must be verified and not have a live-streaming restriction in the last 90 days. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup guide.
- Rights to every asset: Confirm you may broadcast both the musical composition and the specific recording, along with any image or video in the loop. “Traditional,” devotional, or Hindi does not automatically mean free to use.
- Equipment and connection: Your computer or dedicated encoder must sustain 4K60 encoding while uploading the stream reliably. YouTube’s published rates are ingestion recommendations, not proof that a particular PC or internet plan is adequate.
Clear music and visuals before scheduling
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a stream can be interrupted even when you hold a license. If a recording is managed through Content ID, ask the rights owner to allowlist your channel before relying on that license. Check the permitted territories and whether the permission covers live broadcast and any resulting archive. YouTube explains the risks in its live-stream copyright guidance and livestream terms.
Set the 4K60 encoder values
YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists these 2160p60 settings. They describe what YouTube recommends receiving; they do not guarantee every viewer will get a 4K playback option. YouTube transcodes streams for different devices and connections.
| Setting | Recommended value |
|---|---|
| Video size and frame rate | 3840 × 2160 progressive, 60 fps |
| Codec and video bitrate | H.264: 50 Mbps recommended, 14 Mbps minimum; AV1 or H.265/HEVC: 35 Mbps recommended, 10 Mbps minimum |
| Rate control and keyframes | CBR; 2-second keyframe interval recommended, no more than 4 seconds |
| Audio | AAC or MP3; stereo 128 Kbps, 44.1 kHz |
| Transport | RTMP or RTMPS; YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted transport |
| SDR color | Rec. 709, 8-bit |
| Latency | Normal latency; YouTube does not offer its low-latency improvement for 4K |
These values come from YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance, checked in 2026. The lower bitrate figures are minimums, not prudent targets if your connection can sustain the recommended rate. YouTube advises choosing a quality your available upload can keep stable.

Build the loop in OBS
For one devotional video
- Open OBS and create or select a scene for the broadcast.
- In the Sources panel, add a Media Source and choose the local video file.
- Enable the source’s Loop control, then confirm the video restarts after reaching its end.
For a playlist of songs
- Install VLC as well as OBS. OBS requires VLC for its VLC Video source; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.
- Add a VLC Video source to the scene and select the local files in the order you want them played.
- Enable Loop Playlist and preview the transitions, audio levels, and restart behavior.
OBS documents both looping options in its Media Sources guide. A source loop repeats media inside OBS; it does not itself connect to YouTube or create a live event.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create a stream or select an existing one. Follow Manage live stream settings if you need to configure the event.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that stream into OBS’s streaming settings. Use RTMPS when available.
- Keep the key private: YouTube describes it as a password and address for your stream. Use a custom key only when you need the same workflow to connect repeatedly; do not share it publicly.
- Apply the encoder values above, checking that the actual output resolution, frame rate, codec, and audio format match the media and settings you intend to send.
- Start streaming from OBS, then wait for the incoming feed to appear in YouTube Live Control Room. Check the preview and stream-health messages before making the event public.
Test the broadcast before going public
- Run a private or unlisted test stream with representative devotional audio and the same kind of motion or visuals you plan to use. YouTube recommends testing with content similar to the real stream.
- Listen for clipping, silence, abrupt transitions, or mismatched audio and video. Watch the preview through at least one complete loop boundary.
- Check YouTube’s stream-health indicator and messages, and confirm the upload remains stable. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom; treat this as a planning margin rather than a guarantee.
- Only schedule or start the public stream after the picture, sound, connection, loop behavior, and rights checks pass.
For testing and monitoring guidance, see YouTube’s live streaming tips and streaming tips. Archive availability and behavior depend on the stream configuration and YouTube limits; this setup does not guarantee an indefinite archive.

Common problems and fixes
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| No incoming preview in YouTube | Wrong stream URL or key, inactive event, or OBS has not started sending. | Recheck the selected event and copied credentials, then confirm OBS is streaming. |
| Stream-health warnings or a dropping feed | Upload instability, insufficient sustained bandwidth, or encoder overload. | Check health messages, reduce competing network use, confirm the chosen bitrate is sustainable, and leave the recommended 20% bandwidth margin. |
| Video is not 4K60 | Output settings, source media, or encoder capability may not match the target. | Verify 3840 × 2160 progressive at 60 fps in the encoder output and check the source and hardware can sustain it. |
| Playlist does not play or repeat | VLC may not be installed or the playlist loop control may be off. | Install the VLC edition matching OBS architecture, then check the VLC Video source’s file list and Loop Playlist option. |
| Live stream interrupted for copyright | A third-party composition, recording, or visual may be detected; a license may not include Content ID allowlisting. | Resolve permissions with the rights owner, including channel allowlisting where applicable, before restarting or scheduling another broadcast. |
