You can assign a single action or build a macro that combines actions. The exact keyboard support and labels can vary by device and software version.
What the G HUB–Streamlabs integration does
Logitech G HUB lets you bind Streamlabs Desktop controls to programmable keyboard keys. Depending on the available actions, you can toggle streaming or recording, switch scenes, activate or deactivate a source, and mute, unmute, or adjust mixer audio. A single action performs one control; a macro combines multiple actions, such as switching to a scene and starting a recording.
This is an integration with Streamlabs Desktop. It is separate from setting up a microphone or adding game or screen capture sources inside Streamlabs Desktop.
Before you start: check your keyboard and software
- Use a Logitech keyboard that G HUB supports and that exposes programmable G-keys or supported F-key assignments. The available compatibility information does not cover every keyboard model, so check your exact device in the installed version of G HUB before buying or troubleshooting.
- Install or update Logitech G HUB. Streamlabs’ integration guide recommends using the latest version; if automatic updates are disabled, open G HUB’s pop-out menu, choose Settings, then select Check for Updates.
- Install Streamlabs Desktop and have it available to launch. G HUB may prompt you to open it when you select an action.
Streamlabs’ guide, originally published February 22, 2023 and last updated March 5, 2025, documents the workflow below. Later releases may use different labels or layouts. See the Streamlabs G HUB integration guide and Logitech’s G HUB support page.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up a Streamlabs action on a G-key
- Open G HUB and select your keyboard. From the main screen, choose the supported Logitech keyboard you want to configure.
- Open Assignments. Click the plus icon on the left side of the keyboard page to open the assignments area.
- Find the Streamlabs actions. Choose Actions, then select Streamlabs Desktop. The guide identifies Toggle Streaming and Toggle Recording as default actions.
- Choose or create an action. Drag a listed action to a G-key, or choose Create New Action and select the control you want. For a microphone mute key, the guide’s example is Mute Mixer, then Mic/Aux.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop if asked. If G HUB prompts you because Streamlabs Desktop is not running, launch the app and follow the prompt.
- Test the key before relying on it live. Confirm that it performs the intended action in Streamlabs Desktop. For a toggle, test both the on and off states so you know how to restore the previous state.
Assign an action to an F-key
Some supported keyboards do not have dedicated G-keys. If G HUB offers the function-key assignment option for your device, enable its FN toggle and drag the action onto the F-key you want to use. If the toggle or assignment option is missing, the guide does not establish that your particular keyboard supports this method; check the device’s available assignments rather than assuming any F-key can be bound.
Make a macro for more than one control
Use a macro when one key should trigger multiple Streamlabs actions. In the Streamlabs Desktop action area, create a macro and add the actions you need—for example, changing to a particular scene and toggling recording—then assign that macro to a G-key or supported F-key using the same drag-and-drop process. Keep multi-action bindings simple and test the full sequence before using it during a broadcast.

What to do if Streamlabs Desktop is missing or a key does not work
- Streamlabs Desktop is not listed under Actions: Check for G HUB updates from Pop-out menu → Settings → Check for Updates, then launch Streamlabs Desktop and check the action list again.
- Your keyboard has no G-keys: Look for the FN toggle and supported F-key assignments in that device’s G HUB interface. Their availability depends on the keyboard.
- The action name or location differs: Software updates can change interface labels. The published guide was last updated March 5, 2025; it does not guarantee identical labels in later versions.
- The action is assigned but does not produce the expected result: Confirm that the assigned key is the one you are pressing, that Streamlabs Desktop is open, and that the intended scene, source, or mixer item exists in the current Streamlabs setup. Remove and reassign the binding if needed, then test it again.
- You are looking at a Logitech Marketplace plugin: The separate Streamlabs Desktop plugin listing mentions populated scenes, sources, audio, and scene collections. It is a distinct listing, not a requirement established for the G HUB keyboard assignments described here.
Set up Streamlabs Desktop itself separately
G HUB assigns keyboard controls; it does not configure your audio or capture sources for you. To prepare a stream, select the microphone in Streamlabs Desktop’s Audio settings and add the needed capture source, such as Game Capture or Screen Capture. Streamlabs’ getting-started guide, dated July 22, 2026, covers those separate setup tasks.
