As of October 4, 2026, Star Wars: Galactic Racer has not launched, so there are no verified game-specific stutter fixes or performance settings to recommend. It is scheduled to release worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 6, 2026. For PC, start by checking the published minimum requirements; after launch, document exactly when a hitch occurs before trying to identify its cause. A minimum specification is not a promise of a particular frame rate or stutter-free play.

Steam lists these Windows minimum requirements for Star Wars: Galactic Racer. They are a baseline for comparison, not measured performance results.

Check your PC against each item in the Steam listing. If your system is below one or more listed requirements, the game may not perform as expected; the listing does not establish that upgrading a particular component will eliminate stuttering. It also does not specify an SSD interface, model, or performance uplift, so the requirement alone is not a reason to replace a compliant drive.
What is not known about performance yet
At the time of writing, Epic Games Store lists recommended PC requirements as TBC. The official listings reviewed do not provide tested frame rates, a stutter rate, graphics presets, target resolutions, upscalers, frame generation, ray-tracing support, or console performance modes. There is therefore no evidence-based settings recipe or hardware comparison to offer yet. Check the Epic Games Store listing for its current requirements rather than assuming an unannounced recommended configuration.

The game is developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode. StarWars.com announced a worldwide October 6, 2026 release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; the announcement is not a performance test or troubleshooting guide.
After launch, identify what kind of problem you are seeing
Before changing settings or attributing a cause, record the symptom and the circumstances. A brief freeze or uneven frame pacing is different from online lag; noting the distinction helps keep a report useful without assuming a cause that has not been established.

- Whether the image freezes, briefly hitches, or looks uneven despite continuing motion.
- Whether it happens in solo play, online PvP, or both. The Steam listing identifies single-player and online PvP modes, but does not document their networking behavior.
- Your platform; on PC, include processor, graphics card, memory, storage type, and graphics-driver version.
- The vehicle, track, selected settings, and whether the same hitch repeats at the same point.
Store listings describe landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers, with distinct vehicle physics and playstyles. They also describe a story-driven campaign and online PvP. Those details can help make a repeatable report precise; they are not evidence that a particular vehicle, track, mode, or setting causes a performance problem.

Once the game is available, look for an official patch note or developer support post, a relevant graphics-driver release note, or credible reporting that reproduces the issue under stated conditions. Distinguish a workaround from a tested fix: a suggestion or one person’s report does not establish that a change solves the problem generally. No game-specific fix is verified in the official information available before launch.

A gamepad appears as an additional input option on the Epic listing, but no performance benefit from buying one is established. Likewise, the official requirement for an SSD confirms a storage prerequisite, not that a new drive fixes stuttering on a PC that already meets it.
