If the problem is that other people can see information on your own profile, review your audience and visibility settings instead. Facebook reviews reports against its Community Standards, but a report does not guarantee removal.
Report the specific content or account
Open the Facebook item you are concerned about and choose its Report option. Select the reason that most closely matches the problem, then follow the choices Facebook shows on screen. The available labels and steps can vary by content type, device, or region, so use the options presented for that item rather than assuming every report follows the same sequence.
Facebook says it takes action when its review finds a Community Standards violation. Reporting asks for a review; it does not itself establish that a violation occurred or ensure that the content will be removed. Facebook: Why didn’t Facebook remove the content that I reported?
Keep the item’s link or identifying details so you can locate it again, and retain the decision message if you need to follow up.

Check the report decision and request another review
Facebook says it will notify you of the outcome in Support Inbox. Check there for the status and decision. If you disagree, Facebook may offer a second review, but the option is not available for every type of content. Facebook: Check the status of something you’ve reported to Facebook

- Open Help and support → Support Inbox.
- Choose Reports about others and open the decision.
- Select See options → Request another review.
Facebook says this second review is usually completed within 24 hours. That is its typical timing, not a guaranteed deadline. Facebook: Request another review of a decision
If the issue is who can see your own information
A report addresses another person’s content or account. To control the audience for your own Facebook information, go to Settings & privacy → Audience and visibility. Facebook lists controls for posts, profile details, stories, profile and tagging, and blocking. Review the relevant category and adjust its audience or other settings as needed. Facebook says current profile and cover photos are public. Older profile and cover photos can have their privacy settings adjusted. A photo being public does not, by itself, mean it violates Facebook’s policies. Facebook: Who can see my current or past profile and cover photos?
Use the right route for Messenger impersonation
If someone is impersonating a person in a Messenger conversation, Facebook’s desktop instructions are to open the conversation, select Privacy & support → Report → Pretending to be someone, then identify whom the account is pretending to be. This is a Messenger conversation-reporting route; it is not the same as reporting a Facebook profile. If a removed Facebook item still appears in search results
Facebook says it cannot remove material already indexed or cached by an external search engine. If the Facebook page or item is gone but a search result still displays it, contact the search engine about its listing or cached result. Facebook: Content that you can’t see on Facebook may still appear in search engine results
