The official information available before release confirms PC requirements, controller support, and a Steam/Epic Online Services dependency—but does not document verified fixes for stuttering, crashes, or controller detection. Use the checks below to identify what applies to your setup; they are diagnostic steps, not confirmed game-specific remedies.
Check the PC baseline before diagnosing performance
Steam lists these minimum PC requirements. Secret Mode says the specifications are subject to change, and meeting a minimum does not guarantee smooth performance. Epic’s recommended PC requirements were still listed as TBC at the time.

Compare your computer with the Steam system requirements and the Epic Games Store listing. If you are investigating stuttering or a crash, record your CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows version, whether the game is installed on an SSD, driver version, resolution, graphics settings, and when the symptom happens. That information helps describe the problem; the official listings do not identify a particular setting, driver change, or other step as a fix.
Controller support is confirmed, but model-specific fixes are not
Epic’s listing marks controller support, and Secret Mode’s FAQ says, “Yes, rumble will be supported on controllers across all platforms.” The FAQ also says keyboard and mouse are playable on PC. These statements confirm general input options, but they do not name supported controller models or explain why a device might not be detected or behave incorrectly.

To narrow down a controller problem, note your platform, controller model, and connection method, then check whether the operating system or platform client recognizes the device. On PC, try keyboard and mouse as a temporary way to distinguish a broader input problem from a gamepad-specific one. These checks can help describe the symptom; no particular connection mode, Steam Input setting, driver, or replacement controller is documented as an official fix.
Do not mistake unplanned features for faults: the publisher says there are currently no plans for wheel support, HOTAS/HOSAS, full haptics, resistance, or VR support.

Separate a Steam launch prompt from an online-play problem
Secret Mode says Epic Online Services (EOS) supports cross-platform play and cross-platform friend management and invites. Steam players may be prompted to install the EOS redistributable at launch if it is not already present; the FAQ says it is required for crossplay. It also says an Epic account is needed to manage non-Steam friends. That does not mean an Epic account is required for ordinary Steam ownership or offline solo play.

If the issue concerns a Steam prompt, crossplay, or friends on another platform, record which of those you were trying to use and the exact prompt or error text. That distinction helps avoid treating an online-service setup issue as a general launch failure.

- Platform and storefront, plus whether you were playing online or offline.
- For PC: CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows version, SSD status, driver version, resolution, and graphics settings.
- For controller problems: controller model, wired or wireless connection, and whether the operating system or platform client detects it.
- The exact error text and when the issue occurs—for example, at launch, during a race, or when joining online play.
The publisher’s official FAQ covers published compatibility and service details. For a concrete fix, rely on a later official support answer, patch note, or reproducible report rather than assuming a generic PC troubleshooting step is confirmed for this game.
