The preload for Marvel Rivals’ December 6, 2024 launch has ended. At launch, PC players could download the game ahead of release through Steam or the official Loading Bay client; PS5 and Xbox players had to wait until launch day. To install it now, open the official store or launcher for your platform and check the game’s current listing.
Can you preload Marvel Rivals now?
The documented preload was for the original December 2024 launch, not an ongoing offer. The official announcement said Steam downloads unlocked on December 6, 2024 at 00:00 UTC, while console downloads were available on December 6. That window has passed, and the announcement does not establish a preload date for any later season or update. Check your platform’s live listing or official announcements for current availability. Where to download Marvel Rivals on each platform
PC: Steam
For the 2024 launch, Steam users could download the files before release but could not install or run the game until it officially launched. The stated unlock time was December 6, 2024 at 00:00 UTC. For a current installation, find Marvel Rivals in the Steam store and use the options shown on its live listing.
PC: Loading Bay, the official client
The official website client, called Loading Bay in the game’s FAQ, could be installed to the login page before the 2024 launch servers opened. The official FAQ says players on supported platforms can access the same servers and play together when they are on the same server.
